A
Here
to
deliver
today's
report,
this
is
being
recorded
on
thursday
november
19th
at
six
in
the
evening.
We're
going
to
have
the
latest
on
covet
19
in
mississippi
and
in
harrison
county.
We'll
have
a
preview
of
christmas
in
the
city
which
takes
place
on
saturday
and
we'll
have
some
other
news
for
you.
But
first,
let's
talk
about
the
ongoing
debris,
removal
efforts
across
biloxi,
the
zeta
debris
teams
have
been
at
it
14
straight
days
now,
working
from
sunrise
to
sunset.
A
Every
day
they
have
made
more
than
2
000
trips
and
they
are
on
the
verge
of
a
milestone.
They
have
hauled
nearly
90
000
cubic
yards
of
debris
from
city
neighborhoods.
You
will
remember
that
we
said
from
day
one
that
there's
an
estimated
200
000
cubic
yards
of
debris
out
there.
That's
enough
debris,
as
we've
said,
to
fill
the
coast
coliseum
twice.
Well,
we're
halfway.
A
There
debris
haulers
expect
to
have
their
first
pass
of
the
entire
city,
completed
by
mid-december
they're,
seeking
approval
from
the
mississippi
department
of
environmental
quality
to
have
a
second
debris
site
this
one
located
in
wool
market.
We
already
have
one
in
west
biloxi
and
it
has
sped
things
up
significantly.
A
Crews
are
working
as
quickly
as
they
can
to
get
to
as
many
places
as
they
can.
Please
remember.
This
is
a
60
to
90,
day
operation
and
we're
only
14
days
into
it.
This
map
shows
you
where
the
pickups
have
occurred
since
day,
one
you're
going
to
be
seeing
more
green
in
all
seven
of
the
city's
wards,
especially
after
the
wool
market
site
is
approved
and
up
and
running.
A
A
They
will
be
back
on
the
job
seven
days
a
week
on
monday
november
30th.
Please
use
this
time
to
bring
all
storm
debris
to
the
curb
and
now
another
word
about
plastic
bags.
The
people
of
biloxi
have
done
a
good
job
throughout
the
year.
Bagging
leaves
and
grass
clippings.
We
appreciate
that
because
it
helps
keep
neighborhoods
and
city
streets
cleaner
and
it
helps
our
storm
drains
operate
at
peak
efficiency.
A
However,
in
this
state
of
emergency,
our
storm
debris
contractor
cannot
pick
up
bagged
items.
The
crews
from
pelican
our
normal
residential
trash
contractor
are
picking
up
the
bags
as
quickly
as
they
can
they'll
get
to
all
of
them.
It's
just
going
to
be
some
time
to
help
things
along.
Please
move
any
bags
away
from
piles
of
limbs
or
other
vegetation
that
you
have
placed
at
your
curbside
if
possible,
please
move
fence
posts
and
boards
from
the
pile
as
well.
This
is
going
to
help
the
process
move
along
even
quicker.

A
A
We
thank
the
traffic
division
and
the
public
works
department
for
the
work
on
the
city
traffic
signals
and
we
thank
mdot
for
helping
get
these
traffic.
Those
traffic
signals
on
highway,
90
repaired
and
operating.
Now.
Let's
talk
this
weekend.
The
big
christmas
in
the
city
crafts
show
takes
place
on
the
real
magnolia
on
saturday,
you'll
see
some
live,
entertainment
and
a
host
of
vendors
and
businesses
offering
holiday
specials.
A
A
We
leave
you
today
with
a
look
at
the
debris
staging
site
in
west
biloxi
and
you'll,
see
one
coming
soon.
In
will
market
who
remembers
the
old
line
from
the
ronald
reagan
days,
trust
but
verify
that's.
What
happens
at
the
debris?
Staging
site
monitors
inspect
every
trailer
coming
in
to
confirm
the
amount
of
the
load
and
they
check
the
trucks
going
out
to
make
sure
all
debris
has
been
removed.
It's
an
accountability,
thing
trust,
but
verify
we'll
see
you
again.
