what's
happening
in
Biloxi.
This
is
being
recorded
for
Wednesday
November,
the
23rd
2022.
Thanksgiving
weekend.
We'll
give
you
some
tips
on
how
you
can
stay
safe
while
cooking
in
the
kitchen
we're
telling
you
how
you
can
stay
alert
when
shopping
on
Black
Friday.
A
We'll
also
tell
you
about
some
holiday
schedule,
changes
and
will
tell
you
where
you
can
see
Santa
Claus
this
weekend,
but
first
we
begin
with
a
big
announcement
made
at
the
Biloxi
city
council
meeting
on
Tuesday
afternoon,
one
of
Biloxi's,
most
historic
City
on
sites.
The
eight
acre
Waterfront
venue,
where
tallest
Manor
once
stood,
could
be
revitalized
with
an
upscale
200
room,
Hotel,
Scenic
Gardens
and
even
a
full-size
replica
of
the
historic
Manor.
A
The
Biloxi
City
Council
on
Tuesday
approved
a
one-year
fifty
thousand
dollar
option
where
the
developers
of
Tullis
Gardens
would
work
on
their
plans
for
what
is
projected
to
be
a
140
million
dollar
project.

Well,
Thursday
is
Thanksgiving
day,
which
means
family
gatherings,
lots
of
cooking,
and
it
can
also
mean
more
fires.
The
Biloxi
fire
department
has
a
few
tips
for
you
to
keep
in
mind
when
cooking
in
the
kitchen.
B
Here
we
are
in
the
kitchen,
the
leading
cause
of
house.
Fires
is
cooking
fires,
so
there's
a
lot
of
safety
features
that
we
can
talk
about
here
in
the
kitchen,
if
you're
frying,
something
on
the
stove
and
it
does
catch
on
fire,
it's
nice
to
have
a
pan
nearby
that
you
can
slide
over
the
top
of
it.
That
would
suffocate
the
fire
and
put
it
out,
and
if
you
can
safely
do
so,
then
you
would
want
to
turn
the
eye
off
another.
B
You
do
not
want
to
keep
any
flammable
stuff
near
your
stovetop,
no
towels,
no
oven,
mitts,
anything
that
could
get
too
close
and
catch
on
fire.
Another
safety
reminder
is
your
pots.
You
don't
want
the
handles
pointing
out.
You
always
want
them
pointing
in
the
further
back.
You
can
get
them
to
point
the
better
because
you
don't
want
to
accidentally
hit
it
and
dump
all
the
hot
food
out
on
you
or
damage
your
dinner
for
the
night
and
never
leave
your
food
or
your
cooking
utensils
unattended.
If
you're
cooking,
something
keep
an
eye
on
it.
B
That's
one
of
the
leading
causes
of
fires
is
not
just
cooking
fires
but
unattended,
cooking
fibers.
If
you
have
a
fire
that
started
in
your
oven,
you
do
not
want
to
open
your
door.
It's
important
to
keep
the
door
closed.
If
you
can
safely
again
do
so,
you
would
turn
the
oven
off,
and
this
would
eventually
smother
the
fire,
but
in
either
case
you
really
should
call
the
fire
department
to
come
help
you
out.
A
This
weekend
is
also
one
of
the
busiest
shopping
days
of
the
year.
Black
Friday,
while
you're
out
shopping,
keep
these
things
in
mind
shop
during
daylight
hours
whenever
possible.
If
you
must
shop
at
night,
go
with
a
friend
or
a
family
member
pay
for
purchases
with
a
check
or
credit
card
and
avoid
carrying
large
amounts
of
cash
when
possible,
be
extra
careful.
If
you
do
carry
a
wallet
or
a
purse,
they
are
the
prime
targets
of
criminals
in
crowded
areas
avoid
overloading
yourself
with
packages.
A
It
is
important
to
have
clear
visibility
and
freedom

motion
