A
Welcome
to
another
edition
of
biloxi
a
to
z,
the
insider's
guide
to
what's
happening
in
biloxi.
This
is
being
recorded
for
good
friday
april.
The
15th
2022
I'll,
tell
you
what's
happening
this
weekend,
give
you
a
preview
of
the
weekend
weather
and
tell
you
about
an
upcoming
special
presentation
with
mayor
andrew
fofo
gillage.
I
have
all
that
and
more,
but
first
I'll
begin
with
easter
happenings
in
the
city
of
biloxi.
A
Every
year,
during
easter
weekend,
the
city's
parks
and
recreation
department
turns
on
the
water
at
the
city's
four
splash
pads
the
water
is
flowing
and
the
splash
pads
are
ready
for
the
public
to
enjoy.
They
are
located
at
hiller
park,
point
cadet,
margaret
sherry
library
and
john
henry
beck
park.
All
the
splash
pads
are
open
from
nine.
In
the
morning
till
eight
at
night,
except
john
henry
beck
park,
which
closes
at
seven
instead
of
eight
all
non-emergency
city
offices
will
be
closed
on
good
friday.
The
biloxi
visitor
center,
however,
will
be
opened
on
friday.
A
As
for
its
weekend
hours,
the
center
will
be
open
on
saturday
but
closed
on
sunday.
On
tuesday,
mayor

will
present
his
annual
state

the
city

at
the

event
is
put
on
by
the
biloxi
bay
area,
chamber
of
commerce,
doors
open
at

a.m,
and

program
begins
at

A
A
A
As
for
the
weekly
harrison
county
numbers,
the
health
department
reports
that,
as
of
april
11th
46
new
cases
of
the
virus
were
reported
over
a
seven
day
period
with
no
new
deaths.
Overall,
nearly
800
000
cases
of
the
virus
have
been
reported
throughout
mississippi
since
the
pandemic
began
in
early
2020
and
more
than
12
000
mississippians
have
died
from
covid
19.
A
As
for
the
cova
19
number
of
patients
at
hospitals
across
the
state,
the
health
department
website
does
not
have
that
data
posted
at
the
time
of
this
recording.
As
for
mississippi's
vaccination
rate
as
of
april
11th,
still
only
48
of
the
population
is
fully
vaccinated
and
46

harrison
county

are
reported
as
fully
vaccinated.
