From YouTube: Biloxi Public Schools, December 2019
Description
Here's a look at what's happening in Biloxi Public Schools during December 2019.
A
My
name
is
Teresa
Martin
and
I'm.
The
principal
of
North
Bay
Elementary
in
Biloxi
public
schools,
excellence
for
all
from
all
is
definitely
what
we
are
about.
Speaking
about
excellence,
we
have
an
excellent
kindergarten,
faculty
and
staff
here
at
North,
Bay
Elementary.
They
have
been
very
much
the
success
of
our
test
scores.
They
do
a
very
good
job
with
not
only
our
kindergarteners
and
preparing
them
all
through
the
school
year,
but
they
also
do
an
outstanding
job
setting
them
up
for
success
in
grades.
A
1,
2,
3
and
4
parents
are
also
a
very
big
part
of
the
big
picture
when
it
comes
to
preparing
kindergarteners
many
things
that
they
do
prior
to
that
student
coming
to
kindergarten
and
in
August,
very
much
gets
them
ready
for
the
classroom
that
makes
our
kindergarten
teachers
able
to
take
the
first
month
of
school
and
really
jump
into
the
curriculum.
We
have
been
very
successful
with
that
in
supporting
our
teachers.
A
In
that
way,
they
do
an
outstanding
job,
starting
in
August
when
they
take
a
kindergarten,
readiness
assessment
in
which
they
measure
those
students
where
they
are
when
they
come
to
us
and
then,
once
again,
we
take
that
same
type
of
assessment
and
we
test
those
kindergarteners
in
the
springtime
North
Bay
Elementary
has
been
very
very
successful.
We
continue
to
achieve
top
test
scores
again
because
of
our
teachers
because
of
our
students,
because
of
our
parents
and
most
of
all,
because
of
Biloxi
public
schools
and
in
what
we
expect
from
our
community
and
all
involved.
B
My
name
is
Tina
pistol,
I'm,
a
kindergarten
teacher
at
North,
Bay
Elementary
in
the
Biloxi
School
District
I've
been
teaching
school
for
34
years
and
I
have
taught
kindergarten
for
15
years.
We
strive
our
best
to
get
all
of
our
kindergarteners
prepared
for
first
grade
and
that
our
job
has
made
a
lot
easier
when
our
kindergarten
students
come
in
ready
for
kindergarten
to
prepare
a
child
for
kindergarten
is
very
helpful
if
they
already
know
all
of
their
letters
and
sounds
that
they
can
count
to
100,
they
can
write
their
name.
B
A
lot
of
our
students
do
not
come
in
prepared
for
that
and
are
not
ready,
but
we
do
a
pretty
good
job
here
at
our
school
of
getting
everyone
prepared
by
the
time
they
leave
kindergarten.
They
will
have
to
be
able
to
read.
They
have
to
pass
a
fluency
test.
Knowing
subtraction
and
addition.
Math
is
very
important.
The
more
that
our
children
are
exposed
to
things
the
more
they
will
be
prepared,
every
outing
that
you
take
your
children
on.
B
If
you
question
them
talk
to
them
avoid
electronic
devices
as
much
as
possible
so
that
we
have
a
better
attention
span
when
they
come
in
sit
with
your
child
and
read
to
them
every
day.
No
matter
what
you're
reading
it
can
be,
the
newspaper
a
magazine
put
closed
caption
on
your
television
so
that
you
can
read
along
with
them,
while
they're
watching
TV.
All
of
these
things
will
help
your
child
to
be
better
prepared
when
they
come
into
kindergarten.
