We
are
here
today
to
show
you
how
to
boil
crawfish
on
any
special
occasion,
especially
mardi
gras.
So
what
we'd
like
to
do
today
is
show
you
our
process
and
everything
we
got
to
to
boil
crawfish
and
to
get
ready
for
your
crawfish
bowl
to
hang
out
with
friends
and
family
and
to
show
everyone
a
good
time.

So
one
of
our
first
steps
is
to
go
ahead
and
get
the
seasoning
that
you're
going
to
use
to
boil
your
crawfish.
We
have
many
different
seasonings
here
at
desport
seafood,
so
one
thing
is:
is
its
personal
choice
is
what
you
want
to
use?
We
mix
different
blends
of
seasonings
here
at
despots
for
many
many
years
that
we've
been
bowling
crawfish.

So
we've
got
here:
we've
got
potatoes,
we've
got
corn,
we've
got
garlic,
we've
got
mushrooms,
brussels
sprouts
oranges
and
sausage,
so
this
is
the
many
things
that
you
can
put
in
it
in
the
crawfish
bowl
or
any
boil
that
you
do
so
the
first
step
we
do
when
we
start
boiling
crawfish.
We
take
the
crawfish
and
put
it
in
fresh
water.
We
let
the
water
clean
out
the
crawfish,
it
gets
all
the
mud
and
everything
out.
So
everyone
has
a
great
taste
of
crawfish
clean.

takes
about
30
minutes,
you
put
it
in
fresh
water,
we
clean
the
crawfish
and
then
we
start
our
boil
and
today
we're
boiling
about
35
pounds
of
crawfish,
and
we
have
a
lot
of
fixings
to
go
with
it.
To
show
everyone
how
we
do
it
and
to
celebrate
our
first
crawfish
bowl.
Now
we're
going
to
go
ahead
and
add
our
seasoning.
This
is
the
step
after
you
purge
your
crawfish
to
get
going
to
get
the
process
started,
so
we're
going
to
go
ahead
and
add
our
crab
boil.

Today
we
don't
want
to
put
too
much
because
we
don't
know
how
much
people
want
the
spice
so
we'll
cut
it
down
a
little
bit.
We
can
always
add
more
later.
You
don't
want
to
add
too
much
at
the
beginning,
because
it
could.
It
could
add
too
much
so
then,
what
our
next
process
is,
we
add
liquid
crab
bowl,
so
the
liquid
crab
boil
gives
it
another
different
flavor.
All
three
of
them
mixed
together,
is
a
really
good.

Then
we're
going
to
stir
all
the
ingredients
up
and
wait
for
the
crawfish
to
boil
and
then
what
we
do
is
we'll
see
the
crawfish
turn
red.
When
they're
close
to
being
done
and
you'll
see
the
smoke,
then
you'll
know
it's
getting
close.
Once
we
see
the
crawfish
get
to
the
level
of
the
top
of
the
water,
then
it'll
be
close
to
being
done,
and
what
we
do
is
is
when
we
have
our
crawfish
bowl.

We
figure
out
how
many
people,
usually
a
normal
crawfish
eater,
is
about
two
pounds
per
person,
a
really
good
crawfish
eater,
which
likes
crawfish.
A
lot
is
about
five
pounds
per
person.
So
before
we
get
the
crawfish
bowl
going,
we
figure
out
how
many
people
we
got
and
how
many
crawfish
eaters
we
have
to
see
how
many
pounds
we
need,
and
we
also
see
how
many
fixins
we
need
and
what
you
want
to
add
to
it.
What
everybody
likes
to
make
it
happen,
but
all
crawfish
here
at
desport
seafood
are
so
good.

You
have
to
watch
to
see
what
cousin
what
family
member
is
coming,
because
there
is
some
of
some
of
the
family
that
will
eat
15
pounds
by
their
self.
So
before
everyone
comes,
you
got
to
make
sure
that
cousin
kevin
isn't
coming
a
crawfish
bowl
is
a
great
deal.
It
brings
family
together,
friends
together,
and
everyone
has
a
great
time
doing
a
crawfish
bowl.
Even
if
you're
not
cooking
the
crawfish
everybody
likes
to
be
a
part
of
it
to
to
be
part
of
the
family
or
part
of
the
team.
Everyone
enjoys
doing
a
crawfish
bowl.

So
what
we're
going
to
do
here
is
we're
checking
on
the
crawfish,
while
they're
soaking
about
20
years
ago.
My
dad
taught
me
to
to
make
sure
you
stir
the
crawfish
up.
You
get
all
the
air
out,
the
pot,
the
steam,
so
the
crawfish
sink
down
and
all
of
the
flavors
of
everything
that
you
put
in
come
out
in
the
crawfish.
So
what
you
want
to
do
is
just
let
them
soak
for
about
20
30
minutes.
How
much
longer
you
want
to
have
fun
with
your
company.
