Description
Project superintendent John Cowart with Oscar Renda Contracting, the firm rebuilding and replacing infrastructure covering 55 miles of streets north the CSX railway in east Biloxi, provided this update on the project.
A
I'm
John
coward
general
superintendent
on
the
Biloxi
Noah
project,
I'm
here
today
to
give
a
progress
update
currently
on
the
east
end
of
the
project.
Our
gravity
main
sewer
crew
is
at
the
intersection
of
bowen
and
division
with
the
ultimate
goal
of
reaching
nixon
street.
Currently
we
have
a
storm
drain
crew,
this
installing
pipe
at
the
intersection
of
Crawford
and
division
and
they're
heading
west
tying
in
each
intersection.
Our
paving
crew
is
currently
working
on
back
bay
boulevard.
A
We
started
at
Oak
Street
approximately
six
weeks
ago,
heading
west
and
we
are
currently
at
the
intersection
of
Holly
and
Back
Bay
on
the
west
end
of
the
project.
Our
deep
gravity
sewer
main
crew
is
currently
at
the
intersection
of
Porter
and
division,
with
the
ultimate
goal
of
reaching
forest,
which
will
happen
in
the
next
three
to
four
weeks.
A
Once
the
deed
gravity
crew
reaches
forest
street,
they
were
then
turn
and
head
north
on
porter.
This
process
will
be
repeated
on
every
street
north
of
division
headed
back
east
towards
seal
street.
The
first
section
of
paving
to
go
down
on
the
west
end
of
the
project
will
be
north
of
division.
On
cell
avenue,
we
currently
have
a
storm
drain
crew,
completing
the
drainage
and
the
concrete
crews
will
follow
installing
curving
and
sidewalk.
Currently,
on
the
west
end
of
the
project,
we
have
two
crews
working
on
chlorinating
and
testing
our
new
water
system.
A
We
anticipate
this
work
to
be
complete
in
the
late
fall
over
the
last
few
months,
we've
made
considerable
progress
on
the
east
end
of
the
project,
closing
out
installing
all
the
new
utilities.
Over
the
next
few
minutes,
you'll
start
seeing
the
paving
complete
on
the
east
end
of
the
project.
We
anticipate
also
on
the
west
end
of
the
project
and
late
fall
to
also
see
Peyton
go
down.
