Project superintendent John Cowart with Oscar Renda Contracting, the firm rebuilding and replacing infrastructure covering 55 miles of streets north the CSX railway in east Biloxi, provided this update on the project.
A
Currently,
we
have
our
gravity
super
crew
on
the
east
end
of
the
project
at
the
intersection
of
Lee
Street
and
division
starting
Monday.
This
crew
will
turn
north
on
Lee
Street
on
bait
x,
boulevard
we've
completed
the
paving
from
Oak
Street
headed
west
to
the
intersection
of
Holly
sometime
towards
the
end
of
next
week.
We
plan
on
doing
another
round
of
paving
from
holly
street
west
to
the
intersection
of
lee
street
in
the
middle
of
October.
We
also
plan
on
starting
paving
on
division
streets
and
all
the
connecting
side
streets
headed
west.

On
cell
avenue,
north
of
division,
we
are
working
on
completing
the
drainage
structures
and
curbing
with
an
ultimate
goal
of
being
able
to
pave
north
seal
by
the
end
of
October
on
the
west
end
of
the
project
on
porter
avenue,
north
of
division.
We
have
a
crew
currently
installing
the
sewer
system,
which
is
a
main
feed
back
to
division
street,
with
an
ultimate
goal
of
completing
this
work
by
the
end
of
the
year.
