Description
Project superintendent John Cowart with Oscar Renda Contracting, the firm rebuilding and replacing infrastructure covering 55 miles of streets north of the CSX railway in east Biloxi, provided this update on the project.
A
I'm
John
Cowart
general
superintendent,
with
Oscar
and
the
contracting
here
today
to
give
a
progress
update
on
the
end
of
the
project.
We
just
completed
another
round
of
paving
on
Division
Street
between
the
Lee
Street
Nichol
Street.
We
also
completed
Heidenheim
north
of
Division
Roy
Street
between
Ali
and
Lee
Street,
and
are
also
working
to
complete
Nichol
Street
south
of
division,
we're
hoping
to
have
Nichols
ready
in
the
next
two
weeks.
A
We
also
have
a
landscaping
and
thinks
in
curry,
following
the
sidewalk
and
driveway
work
on
the
East
End
on
the
west.
End
of
the
project
on
Division
Street
under
the
I
110
overpass,
we're
working
to
complete
the
610,
long
home,
base
the
drainage
structures
and
curbing
with
paving
to
follow.
We
anticipate
this
work
to
be
done
in
the
middle
of
October,
on
Cell,
Avenue
and
Iroquois
south
of
division,
we're
working
to
complete
both
the
sidewalk
and
driveway.
A
You
work
in
this
area
once
this
work
is
complete,
landscaping
and
fencing
will
follow
on
clearance
and
porters
south
of
division.
We're
working
to
complete
the
final
two
sewer
bores.
This
work
should
start
in
the
next
four
to
six
weeks.
Once
we
begin
this
work,
these
two
intersections
will
be
closed
for
a
period
of
time.
We
have
a
crew
installing
the
main
discharge
for
the
DES
storm
drain
system,
starting
Abenaki
heading
west,
on
division,
then
turning
north
on
Porter.
This
work
has
begun
over
the
last
week
and
we'll
continue
into
the
fall.
