C
Good
evening,
ladies
and
gentlemen,
first
off,
thank
you
all
for
each
being
here
this
evening.
I
know
I
want
to
give
my
condolences,
I
guess
on
the
state
of
affairs
going
on
this
evening
that
our
general
manager,
Duncan
McKenzie,
could
not
be
here
tonight.
He
is
in
the
Galapagos
Islands
chasing
after
some
turtles
right
now,
so.
C
For
as
many
years
his
IP
has,
you
know
we
have
supported
this
program
in
this
event
itself
for
14
years
and
Counting,
we
look
forward
to
a
long
future
ahead
of
us
with
this.
This
group.
They
do
wonderful
things
in
your
community.
They
raise
our
children,
they
teach
them
to
be
brighter
creative
individuals,
and
it
is
because
of
each
of
you
here
that
they
can
do
that.
So
thank
you
for
being
here.
Thank
you
for
being
part
of
it.
Dr.
C
B
B
A
A
I
made
a
huge
mistake
right
out
of
the
gate,
and
let
me
rectify
that
right
now.
We
have
a
very
important
day.
It's
up
here,
so
you
got
those
look
at
them
and
just
you'll
know
it
right
away.
Let
me
introduce
our
Roasters
that
will
be
taking
part
in
this
ceremony.
Tonight.
First
will
be
mr.
Jeff.
Felder
raise
your
hand
please.
A
A
D
D
D
Would
also
like
to
thank
dr.
Paul
Tisdale,
our
victim
bursty,
his
Roasters
in
Benson,
our
master
of
ceremonies
this
year,
Biloxi
first
is
commemorating
its
30th
anniversary.
At
the
first
board
meeting
we
had
a
balance
of
nine
thousand
dollars
in
the
checking
account
now.
Biloxi
first
holds
an
endowment
of
over
1
million
dollars.

A
F
About
a
year
ago,
I
arrived
here
from
Oxford
Mississippi
God's
country
to
about
half
the
room,
I'd
guess
and
I
was
excited
to
receive
the
call
to
serve
as
the
priest
in
charge
of
the
Church
of
Redeemer
I
met
Paul
early
on
in
that
time,
and
one
of
the
things
he
told
me
was
that
he
served
on
the
City
Council
when
I
asked
what
he
did
and
I
said.
All
that's
great
you'll
be
able
to
give
me
a
lot
of
information
and
he
said
well,
no
I,
don't
know
anything.
I
have
to
say.
F
You
asked
me
to
do
the
invocation
and
so
I
sought
to
bow
your
heads
for
just
a
moment
and
let
us
pray
Almighty
God.
We
ask
that
your
Holy
Spirit
fill
this
place,
for
we
are
gathered
here
together
to
celebrate
the
work
of
one
of
your
children
in
the
world.
He
has,
through
his
time,
spent
as
an
educator
blessed
the
lives
of
many.
B
B
They're
gonna
tell
you
about
different
phases
of
the
life
of
politics
Dale,
but
this
segment
right
here
is
called,
who
is
Paul,
Tisdale,
reading,
writing
and
low
game,
and
we
talk
about
this
life
such
as
it
is.
Certainly
we
have
to
begin
at
the
beginning,
politics
Dale
with
mumps.
Look
at
those
cheeks
on
I
got
back
there.
Look
at
those
cheeks
then.
Did
he
move
I.
A
B
A
A
But
gave
maintained
his
perfect
head
of
hair.
He
was
a
man's
man,
you'll
notice
that
he
was
a
playboy
back
in
those
days.
Somehow
he
poured
himself
into
that
car
every
day,
but
this
all
meant
that
kids
were
on
the
way
and
he
had
to
sell
that
car
showed
me
some
kids
they're,
seeing
Wanda
and
I
think
that's
a.
A
A
Here
this
is
the
only
picture
he
had
a
long
and
storied
career
in
public
education,
and
this
right
here
is
the
only
picture
that
he
gave
me
to
use
and
if
you
look
up
there
in
the
top
right,
that's
Paul
way
over
there
in
the
corner,
and
if
you
look
at
those
kids
and
I
think
the
reason
Paul
gave
me
this
picture
was
he
wanted
to
show
how
much
of
a
visionary
he
was.
If
you
look
at
those
kids,
those
are
future
Oscar
into
workers.
A
He's
gonna
be
moving
to
the
next
chapter,
but
the
first
thing
he
did
was
he
did
some
traveling.
He
would
make
sure
to
go
with
that.
That's
the
Biloxi
high
travel
team
right
there.
That
group
made
sure
they
went
to
every
sporting
event
in
every
city
throughout
this
area
he
traveled
with
them,
and
then
he
also
began
showing
up.
He
started
showing
up
at
a
lot
of
city
functions,
areas
next
to
David's
tailing
and
he
went
to
a
few
more
there.
He
is
at
Beauvoir
and
then
the
bug
bit
there.
A
A
A
A
A
Asked
the
priest
for
forgiveness,
but
I
want
to
tell
you
with
all
of
the
pictures
the
two
hundred
pictures
that
Paul
sent
the
biggest
thing
that
he
sent
was
the
bedrock
of
his
life,
and
that
was
his
family.
It
was
his
family
through
the
years.
Look
right
there
he's
it
says:
Paul
is
reading.
Now,
if
Paul
would
have
been
reading
Jack
in
the
Beanstalk,
he
would
be
named
fofo
today.
A
That
is
good
admit.
Even
up
to
this
day,
you
see
the
family
connections
with
Paul
I.
Think
that
was
father's
day.
That's
what
mom
would
be
taking
the
picture
next,
one
that
was
when
they
were
filming
the
Playboy
centerfold
behind
Paul's
house.
Is
that
your
mom
in
there
that's
Connie
right
there.
They
have
some
more
family
Tisdale
and
we
will
bring
you
all
the
way
up
to
the
front
of
the
family.
B
A
A
H
H
H
Did
you
know
that
Paul
was
actually
asked
to
fill
in
a
superintendent
here
after
the
position
recently
became
vacant,
but
he
had
to
turn
down
because
he
said
his
position
as
councilman
was
just
too
demanding
really
too
demanding.
The
other
thing.
I
know
that
he
does
is
counsel
with
his
put
out
that
monthly
newsletter
that
nobody
reads
and
then
they
had
to
get
poor
dr.,
jaudy
out
of
retirement
to
come
back
and
take
it
on
I
mean
that
would
be
like
heaven
forbid.
Something
happened
to
the
current
camellia
Queen
and
then
that
consumer.
H
So
fast-forward,
a
few
years
when
we
were
in
high
school
and
Paul
was
home
from
college
his
brother,
George
and
Bobby
brazier
and
I
are
we.
We
had
a
drip,
a
triple
date,
one
Saturday
night
triple
date.
That's
what
we
used
to
do
a
little
there.
We
go
George
had
a
day
with
Carol
dick,
not
Carol,
fayard
dick,
but
the
real
Carol
dick
who's,
Carol
Stinson,
alcoholic
Cal,
sniffs.
H
Boom,
so
we
as
teenagers
did
back
then
that
before
picture
IDs,
you
know
we're
in
play.
We
came
across
some
alcohol
and
George
kind
of
overdid
it
and
passed
out
in
the
backseat
of
the
car,
so
Bobby
and
I
decided
we
had
to
entertain
the
girls
the
rest
of
the
night,
so
we
took
him
to
a
McDonald's
old
pass
road
to
the
drive-through.
To
get
some
food
well,
Carol,
you
know
George's
dad.
H
She
got
a
chocolate
milkshake,
as
she
was
just
really
irritated
that
George
had
passed
out,
so
she
pours
the
chocolate
milkshake
just
all
over
his
face
and
head
and
he
didn't
budge.
So
Bobby
and
I
decided
we
better
take
these
girls
home
and
we
did.
We
took
them
back
to
their
their
homes
and
then
we
decided
we
needed
to
do
something
with
George.
Well,
we
didn't
want
to
face
the
wrath
of
big
red.
So
as
good
friends,
what
would
we
do?
H
Paul
gets
up
and
he
he
goes
out
to
to
get
the
paper
opens.
The
front
door
sees
George
laying
there
still
still
you
know
asleep.
What
does
he
do?
Does
he
help
him
up
to
the
window?
He
steps
over
him
goes
and
gets.
The
paper
goes
back
inside
and
tells
Miss
Teasdale
Bobby
Braves
jeff
lb
left
your
Mother's
Day
gift
out
on
the
front
steps.
H
Your
friends
be
as
nice
as
George's
friends.
She
opens
the
front
door
sees
George
land,
as
she
screams
George
comes
to
at
that
point.
The
chocolate
milk
has
just
covered
his
eyes
and,
if
sucked
together,
he
thinks
he's
blind,
he's
standing
out
and
falls
down.
The
steps
and
Paul's
just
sit
at
the
kitchen
table
admired
his
work
that
he'd
just
done
so.
H
Successful
career
as
an
educator
and
as
most
older
brothers
do,
you
know
he
mellowed
in
his
need
to
to
torture
the
younger
brother,
but
his
older
brother
gig.
A
successful
lawyer
called
him
one
day
when
he
was
superintendent
asked
him
if
he
would
testify
as
a
character
witness
for
what
of
gigs
clients,
who
had
to
be
a
teacher
that
you
know
that
that
Paul
knew
she
was
going
through
divorce
and
gig
wanted
Paul
to
be
a
character.
Reference
for
são
Paulo
grade
gave
great
testimony
that
you
know
help
give
slide
out.
H
H
A
Keep
hearing
Jeff
elder
is
best
at
the
Mardi
Gras
Rose.
Is
that
not
the
truth?
Jeff
that's
a
different
deal
altogether.
I
also
will
recognize
if
we
could
just
for
a
second.
If
you
look
at
the
table
settings
the
centerpieces
at
each
of
your
tables,
they
were
created
by
Biloxi
upper
elementary
fifth
and
sixth
grade
students
and
staff.
A
A
I
Thank
You
Vincent
Vincent.
Will
everybody
Vince
that
someone
asked
me
the
other
day
if
I
knew
you
when
you
were
alive
and
you're
doing
a
fantastic
job
tonight,
incidentally,
that's
great
Paul
glad
to
see
you
made
it
I
wouldn't
want
you
to
miss
this
okay
and,
of
course,
there's
the
long-suffering
Wanda
Tisdale
Paul's
devoted
wife,
his
beautiful
daughter,
glad
to
have
you
I
was
actually
looking
cerned
about
doing
all
this
in
front
of
Wanda,
but
she
left
me
with
two
words
when
I
saw
her
earlier
no
mercy.
So
thank
you.
Wanda
Paul
and.
I
I
I
I
It
was
then
also
in
junior
high
schooler
Paul
began
to
take
a
Brunning
as
both
a
hobby
and
as
a
sport.
He
did
so
with
the
loving
support
of
his
great
parents
and
each
day
as
Paul
would
set
out
on
his
run.
His
parents
were
there
to
cheer
him
on
and
when
Paul
returned
home
from
his
run
every
day,
no
one
was
more
disappointed
to
see
him
than
his
parents.
I,
remember,
Paul's
father,
trying
to
convince
Paul
of
the
benefits
of
running
only
in
a
straight
line
and
not
in
the
circle.
I
As
we
moved
on
to
bless
to
high
school
Paul,
joined
the
track
team
and
ran
on
several
of
the
relay
teams.
But
coach
Sabatini
needed
someone
to
run
the
high
hurdles,
so
he
began
to
train
Paul
for
this
very
difficult
endeavor.
So
the
first
time
Paul
ran
the
high
hurdles
in
a
track
meet.
He
got
out
to
in
the
early
lead
and
surprise
to
everyone,
including
himself.
I
I
It
was
in
that
coach
Sabatini
explained
to
Paul
that
they
would
no
longer
use
a
stopwatch,
but
rather
they
would
use
a
calendar
to
time.
Paul's
events
Paul
did
letter
and
track
and
was
a
member
of
the
B
Club.
You
can
see
a
photograph
from
the
yearbook
of
Paul
and
his
letter
jacket,
which
he
can
still
wear
today.
Only
the
B
doesn't
stand
for
Alexei.
It
stands
for
bald
and
while
there's
no
mention
of
Paul
actually
distinguishing
himself
in
any
special
way,
Paul
was
also
remember
the
in
rack
club
away
theories.
I
All
thought
to
get
out
of
homeroom
Paul
was
also
a
member
of
the
Chess
Club
of
Biloxi
Hine,
but
y'all
could
have
guessed
that
one
right,
Paul
was
actually
the
champion
of
the
Chess
Club.
You
see.
The
other
boy
was
blind
and
I
see.
Er
Paul
was
nominated
in
our
Engel
who
sue
competition
as
wittiest
boy.
He
actually
came
in
second,
however,
in
the
voting
behind
our
good
friend,
Chris
Snyder
and
Paul
only
got
half
the
votes,
a
Chris
Cobb,
which
of
course
made
Paul.
The
half-wit
I
did
win
most
likely
to
go
bald.
I
Also,
a
completely
forgettable
was
Paul's
time
in
the
Biloxi
high
band.
Paul
played
the
slide.
Trombone
Oh
slide
is
deadlier,
did
last
law
in
the
band.
However,
now,
as
we
all
are,
marching
band
comes
down
a
street,
led
by
a
drum
major,
a
drum
major
red,
followed
by
head
majorette,
followed
by
a
street
wide
group
of
majorettes
and
after
that,
of
course
comes
to
band
led
by
the
trombones
right.
For
the
obvious
reason,
it's
not
just
because
of
that
song
about
seventy-six
trombones,
so
this
trombones
are
first
in
line.
I
I
Now,
as
I
said,
Paul
was
blessed
with
wonderful
parents,
especially
as
charming
and
beautiful
mother.
She
was
so
sweet,
especially
when
she
was
a
pilot
constantly
apologizing
to
being
Paul's
mother
in
high
school
I
worked
in
the
men's,
clothing
store
and
Paul's
mother
would
come
in,
and
shop
the
ball
for
back
to
school
and
for
Christmas.
She
used
to
reject
my
wardrobe
ideas
for
Paul
and
would
tell
me
she
wanted
Paul
to
dress.
Like
me,
I
finally
had
to
explain
to
mrs.
Tisdale
that
that
would
never
happen
after
all,
I
had
a
reputation
to
maintain.
I
Both
graduating
summa
laude
and
to
our
Neutral
surprise,
and
to
the
surprise
and
amusement
of
those
who
actually
taught
us,
we
both
decided
to
get
teaching
degrees.
Paul
had
us
having
me
at
Ole
Miss.
Before
embarking
on
our
chosen
education
and
career
paths,
we
made
a
vow
to
never
teach
each
other's
children.
I
I
Well,
the
reality
is
that
Paul
chose
Dale
has
enriched
the
lives
of
countless
numbers
of
people
as
a
teacher
as
an
administrator
and
now
as
a
city
councilman,
he
is
the
poster
boy
of
public
service
just
recently,
I
rode
with
Paul
one
evening
as
he
went
out
to
check
on
a
public
works
matter,
an
award
other
than
his
own,
based
on
a
concern
from
the
citizen
and
get
another
award,
not
his
own.
This
is
the
kind
of
attention
to
the
needs
of
others
has
become
a
hallmark
of
Paul's
career.
I
He
is
the
perfect
combination
of
a
leader
and
a
humble
public
servant.
I
close
by
sharing
these
truths
with
you,
Paul
Tisdale
has
been
a
great
friend
to
me.
He
has
never
refused
me
any
request
and
I've
been
enriched
by
his
kindness,
his
loyalty,
his
intelligence
and
there's
a
wonderful
sense
of
humor
I
will
always
cherish
his
friendship
and
I
am
privileged
to
be
honoring
him
tonight.
Thank
you.
J
As
you
look
at
dr.
Tisdale
tonight,
you
see
a
man
that
is
well
dressed
right.
Well,
you
can
say
thanks
to
me
for
helping
him
look
that
way.
I
get
really
confused.
Let
me
take
you
back
approximately
40
years,
one
summer
the
district
held
summer
school
at
gone
flow
elementary
and
guess
who
was
his
principal
neat
and
yes,
Tisdale
was
one
of
my
teachers
now
take
just
take
a
little
break.
You
saw
the
video
tonight
right.
Paul
pay
attention.
Please.
J
J
To
shorts
he
want
us
to
teach
tacky
shirt,
tacky
tennis,
shoes,
yes,
tacky
is
how
he
looked
when
he
began
teaching
for
me
at
gone,
flew
after
a
few
days
on
the
job,
I
decided
I
need
to
have
a
conference
with
teeth.
There
were
guarding
his
tackiness,
we
met,
we
talked
whether
he
agreed
with
me
or
not.
He
changed
his
appearance
and,
thanks
to
me,
Tisdale,
you
look
good
another
story.
I,
don't
know
Vincent,
you
gonna
talk
about
him
smoking,
but
heavy
heavy
heavy
smokers.
J
Now
it's
time
for
me
to
share
why
he
spent
more
money
on
cigarettes
than
I
did.
Okay,
just
remember
the
meeting
with
Pam
manners
and
myself
and
you
were
smoking
a
cigarette.
You
had
one
lit
in
an
ashtray
and
you
were
fixing
to
light
another
one
right.
We
had
to
remind
you
not
to
light
another
one,
as
you
already
had
two
going.
That's
why
you
had
to
spend
more
money
on
cigarettes
and
I
did
he
was
smoking?
How.
C
J
J
J
So
how
do
we
get
to
shut
up
well
well?
Well,
I
would
stand
in
the
back
move
my
hand
across
my
throat
like
this.
He
got
the
pouch
and
shut
up.
Remember
that
titty,
okay,
why
am
I
closing
I
just
want
to
let
you
know
dr.
Tisdale,
your
parents
would
be
very
proud
of
you
as
well
as
my
mother,
you
are
very
passionate
about
children,
the
Biloxi
schools
in
this
community,
thanks
for
everything,
you've
done
it
for
being
my
dear
friend
for
over
40
years.
J
A
These
are
the
people
who
go
to
the
public
meetings.
These
are
the
people
who
support
educational
efforts.
These
are
the
people
who
are
in
civic
groups.
These
are
the
people
who
do
volunteer,
work
and
I
would
be
remiss
if
I
did
not
acknowledge
all
of
the
many
contributions
that
politicial
has
made
to
this
city.
So
please
applaud.

Go
to
the
theme
of
meeting
next
time
and
we're
all
sitting
there
and
I
think
the
guy
is
going
through
all
these
regulations.
You
know
how
FEMA
is
you
guys,
I'm
Alexia
stimuli
with
that?
Aren't
you
faux
fur,
the
guy
says:
look
we
fix
it.
Take
a
little
bit
of
restroom
back.
He
said,
okay,
that
I
don't
understand
the
question
usually.

You
can
always
for
Christmas,
you
can
always
get
him
a
refrigerator,
and
that
way
you
can
watch
his
face
light
up
every
time
he
opens
the
door
I'll
close
with
this.
Mercifully,
your
brother
Peter
Roy,
is
a
Biloxi
Bay,
Area
Chamber
of

Biloxi
and
made
good
you.

somewhat
of

You
were
sophomores
of
Biloxi
high
school
in
world
class.
Excuse
me
world

class.
At
the
time
we
were
studying,
Asia
specifically
as
I
recall,
China
and
I.
Remember.
B
B
B
B
Because
she's
seen
a
thing
or
two
and
probably
heard
a
thing
or
two
and
said
a
thing
or
two
and
there's
a
person
or
two
and
if
you
know
Susan,
you
know
what
I'm
talking
about
I've
heard
people
say:
life
is
a
beach
I've
heard
people
say,
life
is
a
and
I've
heard.
People
say
no
season,
there's
a
it's
been
said,
no
scratch
and
she
is
tougher
than
woodpecker
lips.
B
B
B
She's
seen
a
new
new
Biloxi
high
school
built
over
the
bay
she's,
seen
a
man
set
foot
she's,
a
personal
friend
of
Fred
Haise
next
time
you
see
Apollo,
13,
remember
and
all
the
trials
and
tribulations
that
was
Fred
Hayes
on
that
trip
missed.
What
most
of
you
don't
know
is
that
soon
season
is
fluent
in
the
ancient
language
of
our
mayic.
Did
you
know
that
which
was
good
for
tips
when
she
served
as
a
waitress
at
the
Last
Supper.
B
B
B
B
B
B
She
once
told
me:
life
is
short
smile.
While
you
still
have
teeth,
that's
good
advice
packing.
We
were
Vincent
passing
on
New
Hall
at
City
Hall
one
day
saying
to
Susan.
You
almost
look
like
a
man
Susan
to
apply
that
missing
to
be.
B
B
Anyway,
my
mother-in-law's
funeral
a
couple
of
weeks
ago,
my
son
Darrell
had
driven
down
from
Columbia
South
Carolina
for
the
funeral
and
he
was
in
the
receiving
line.
His
Susan
came
through
the
line.
She
told
him.
You
know
I'm,
proud
of
you,
son,
for
driving
down
from
from
Columbia
for
the
Penal.
Today,
it's
a
very,
very
long
drive
and
his
reply
was
I'm,
proud
of
him
for
wearing
a
bra.
Today,.
B
B
E
E
B
B
B
Now
one
of
my
numerous
trips
to
Jackson
I
noticed
a
pond
with
an
outhouse
that
had
a
TV
on
the
end.
They
on
the
outhouse
I've,
never
actually
seen
an
outhouse
before
so
I
stopped
and
asked
the
farmer
about
it.
He
said
that
he
had
rented
the
house
to
a
couple
of
State
grads
to
live
in
few
weeks
later,
driving
by
again
same
bow
house
and
there's
two
antennas
on
the
outhouse,
so
I
stopped
and
inquired
again
the
farmer
told
me
that
the
state
guys
had
so
bled
the
basement
to
some
Millsaps
graduates.
B
B
You
shared
some
advice
with
many
years
ago:
never
trust
people
who
smile
constantly
they're,
either
selling
something
or
they're
not
very
bright.
That's
equipment,
you're,
not
selling
anything
quit
smiling,
I
heard
Larry,
Dottie,
say
the
other
day,
Glen
I.
Like
your
approach.
Now,
let's
see
your
departure.
B
Meetings
in
Gulfport
now
I
presented
you
with
about
a
six-inch
Weiss
square,
that
was
the
intent,
was
to
memorialize
the
Biloxi
Gulfport
football
scores.
Little
play
and
I
interrupted
your
staff
meeting
and
it
was
about
six
inches
tall,
and
so
you
could
stand
on
it.
It's
your
staff
meetings
that
that
was
cruel,
I
should
have
given
you
something
more
practical.

About

you

just
works

answers
all
my
questions
about
city
finance
and
all
its
nuances
city
finance
is
similar
in
some
ways,
but
different,
so
many
ways
from
school
finance.
It's
interesting
education

is
here
tonight.
