From YouTube: Biloxi Covid 19 Update 5 14 2020
Description
Mayor Gilich talks about the increase COVID 19 cases reported today by the Mississippi State Department of Health; reminder of social distancing.
A
Hello
I'm
Topher
Gillis,
mayor
of
Biloxi,
is
Thursday
May
14
3
p.m.
today
the
State
Department
health
reports,
10400
83
coded
positives
in
Mississippi.
That's
up
393
from
yesterday.
It
was
up
182
from
the
day
before
that
there's
been
a
total
of
480
deaths.
Statewide,
that's
up
15
from
yesterday.
All
right.
This
graphic
is
a
Harrison
County
14
day
running
averages
take
some
time
and
look
at
these
numbers.
A
On
Monday,
there
was
2.7
average
new
cases
on
Tuesday.
It
was
down
to
two
point:
five
new
cases
on
Wednesday.
It
was
back
up
to
two
point:
seven,
nine
and
today
it's
up
to
three
point:
five
new
cases
per
day
we
reopened
some
things.
Last
week
right
last
Friday,
it
was
clearly
a
downward
14
day
running
average.
Is
that
still
the
case?
A
The
next
day's
will
be
important
in
going
forward.
This
thing
spreads
person-to-person,
and
you
know
how
you
and
I
together
every
one
of
us
we're
responsible,
what's
happening
now
and
what
might
happen
in
the
future.
Good
news,
no
new
deaths
in
the
last
few
days
in
our
health
care
system
and
first
responders,
are
not
overwhelmed.
They're
prepared.
Let
me
say
thank
you
to
the
99%
of
our
citizens
and
visitors
for
helping
step
on
this
virus.
A
If
you
feel
the
need
to
protest,
something
think
about
the
1%
who
either
do
not
get
it
or
just
will
not
help
understand
that
the
city
of
Biloxi
will
take
any
and
all
measures
needed
to
protect
our
citizens.
God
bless
you
and
God
bless
Biloxi.
We
leave
you
today
with
a
reminder
from
CDC
on
social
distancing
and
why
it's
important.
