22-146
amend
the
2022
budget
for
use
of
arpa
funds
to
support
gun
violence
reduction
programs.
This
is
an
announcement
that
I
made
several
weeks
ago.
This
million
dollars
will
be
spent
to
support
gun
violence
reduction
programs,
crime
prevention
and
community
policing
programs
and
technology
through
the
southern
tier
crime
analysis
center
gun
violence
reduction
is
an
authorized
use
of
the
arpa
funds
and
in
fact
president
biden
urged
municipalities
to
use
and
prioritize
arpa
funding
for
community
safety
and
law
enforcement
programs.
A
This
will
go
into
a
capital
line
for
our
gun,
violence
reduction.
We
have
a
motion
of
a
second.
A
A
This
adds
a
right
of
reverter
to
ensure
that
if
the
project
never
moves
forward,
the
city
can
get
the
land
back.
We
are
expediting
this
because
there
are
some
pending
grant
applications
that
the
ywca
is
undergoing.
So
this
allows
us
to
actually
transfer
the
properties
and
sign
the
deeds
over
but
protects
the
city
in
the
event
that
the
project
does
not
happen.
