Sidewalk
variance
and
approval
of
the
variance
from
maximum
allowable
parking
with
the
following
conditions:
the
site
shall
not
exceed
28
spaces
unless
the
square
footage
of
the
building
is
increased
at
a
later
period,
in
which
the
case,
the
regulations
at
that
time
will
determine
the
new
parking
allowance
and
the
second
condition
that
the
parking
shall
be
shall
meet
the
parking
setback,
requirements
along
3rd
street
and
shall
include
the
creation
of
a
landscaped
island.
I
would
be
happy
to
answer
any.

Sidewalk
in
they
just
would
prefer
to
wait
till
there's
a
demand
and
a
need
for
a
sidewalk,
maybe
as
other
sidewalks
come
along,
maybe
where,
if
they
decide
to
develop
the
lot
next
door
or
expand
to
it,
then
we
can
actually
add
the
sidewalks
at
that
time
as
a
part
of
the
construction
project.
If
they
decided
to.

We
had
several
incidences
of
people
backing
into
other
cars
that
were
parked
along
the
back
of
the
lot
and
there
are
two
entrances
to
the
building
and
it
looks
like
you're
only
leaving
three
parking
spaces
for
that.
One
entrance
and
no
parking
spaces
whatsoever
to
the
entrance
on
the
back
of
the
building,
which
is
the
entrance
that
is
used
by
people
who
do
repair
on
the
furnace
or
the
air
conditioning
plumbing.
All
of.

It's
interesting,
I
I
was
fortunate
to
hear
a
president
of
a
university
speak
and
when
he
before
he
put
sidewalks
in
he
looked
to
see
where
paths
were
worn
and
he
determined
that's
where
sidewalks
should
go
and
when
I
was
walking
along
that
area
there.
I
don't
see
people
using
that
and
walking,
and
I
did
not
see
the
area
worn.
So
it
doesn't
look
like
people
are
just
walking
on
the
yard
right
now.

Standard
is
five
feet
off
the
edge
of
payment,
so
there
is
a
separation
unless
there's
a
situation
where
that
just
isn't
feasible
because
of
what's
on
the
ground,
if
there's
large
trees
in
the
way
utility
lines,
we'd
work
with
them
to
figure
out
where
the
best
spot
is,
but
the
ideal
location
is
at
least
five
feet
off
the
code.
Okay,
if
not
more
and
then.

Me
make
that
motion,
so
you
want
to
do
what
the
staff
says.
Okay,
so
since.
F
D
C
That
crossing
third
street
is
just
a
non-starter
in
the
middle
of
the
block,
and
there
are
businesses
that
people
can
walk
to
along
this
stretch
and
there
is
actually
a
path.
If
you
look
closely
enough
on
the
photos,
you'll
see
it
because
people
have
done
it.
I
walked
it
in
the
snow
once
and
it
was
clearly
a
path
through
the
snow
as
well.
On
the.

Stress
that
the
improvements
are
both
inside
and
outside.
So
if
you
make
improvements
to
the
building
inside,
the
outside
is
still
just
as
important,
because
that's
what
the
people
who
are
not
inside
the
building
are
experiencing
and
interacting
with.
So
I
do
think
that
it's
important
for
us
to
follow
the.
F
Imply
that
I
think
that
you
were
saying
that
it
was
discretionary
and
I
do
think
that
there
are
many
times
we
have
discretionary
discussions
and
just
because
it's
not
technically
required
does
it
mean
it's
not
something
that's
valuable
to
the
overall
community.
So
I'm
sorry
if
it
sounds
like
evans,
no,
no,
no
we're
on
the
same
page,
very
good!
Thank
you.
