Facebook Town Hall with Adam Wason on road work projects throughout the City and County.
A
B
And
you
know,
like
laura,
said,
I'd
like
to
just
kind
of
start
out,
with
an
overview
of
all
the
projects
going
on
and
describe
what
those
projects
are
where
the
funding
sources
are
coming
from.
What
entities
are
in
charge
of
those
projects
and
then
talk
about
some
of
the
detours
that
are
going
to
be
put
in
place
over
the
summer
and
that
are
currently
in
place.?.
B
B
B
B
B
But
so,
starting
on
the
south
side
of
town
with
the
issacson
project,
you
know
the
poor,
turnpike
interchanges,
foya
open
has
been
for
some
time
and
is
serving
as
a
good
detour
for
a
lot
of
folks
that
live
on
the
southwest
side
of
the
taproot
bridge.
That
will
open
up
here
towards
the
end
of
may
is
the
latest
we've
heard
from
dot,
so
that
will
be
fully
open
to
east-west
traffic
here,
starting
towards
the
end
of
may
2nd
street
bridge
there
at
bloomfield
grove
state
road
45.
B
B
The
other
thing
to
point
out
with
those
over
is
overpasses,
and
those
interchanges
is
that
the
city
and
the
county
had
previous
agreements
with
the
public
private
partnership
that
was
originally
constructing
the
project
that
would
have
prohibited
lane
restrictions
on
any
of
those
bridges.
Consecutive
bridges.
B
They
knew
they
needed
to
accelerate..
The
only
way
to
really
try
to
get
the
project
total
quickly
was
was
to
have
four
consecutive
overpasses,
with
width
restrictions.
So
from
this
frustrating
as
it
is,
what
I've
observed
is
that
indictee
moving
as
quickly
as
they
can
on
a
whole
section
5,
and
you
want
to
thank
them
for
their
efforts.
There.
B
And
it
was
roughly
about
18
months
ago,
when
a
analysis
of
average
you
to
everyone
understanding
that
there
had
been
some
accelerated
deterioration
that
was
going
to
require
some
pretty
emergency
type
of
emergency
type
repairs
in
the
sense
that
if
those
repairs
weren't
being
completed
right
now,
tanit
wait
lives
on
that
bridge
would
have
gone
down
significantly
and
really
restricted
traffic
over
that
bridge.
So
the
county
did
a
great
job
working
with
the
state
lines
and
funding
to
get
that
bridge.
Repaired.
B
The
county
also
has
their
fullerton
pike
phase
one
project
going
on
right
now,
that's
down
south
on
gordon
pike
and
then
bore
a
road.
That's
called
the
four
pipe
project,
because
eventually
that
will
connect
all
the
way
to
port
to
piking
or
69
and
be
a
major
improvement
for
east
west
travel
on
the
southwest
side.
B
B
B
We're
now
we're
looking
to
push
that
back
a
couple
of
weeks
until
the
country
club
bridge
is
fully
open,
trying
to
help
alleviate.
Some
of
this
stress
points
there
and
then
one
final
project
just
kind
of
talk
about
and
let
folks
know
what's
coming,
is
the
city
limits
and
utilities
has
a
major
sewer
infrastructure
project.
That's
been
ongoing
for
the
last
several
months.
B
B
B
B
B
B
A
Once
again,
I'm
laura
collins,
I'm
a
communications
specialist,
digital
communications
specialist
with
the
city
of
bloomington
time
here
with
adam
lawson,
and
the
public
works
director
for
the
city
of
bloomington.
If
you
just
tuning
in
fita
comments
under
this
live
feed
with
your
question,
and
we
will
try
to
get
to
them
and
we'll
start
with
a
question
here
who
see
lines.
B
A
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
So
you
know
working
late
into
the
night
and
really
wasn't
an
option,
but
they
did
agree
to
come
to
terms
with
their
contractor
to
work
six
10
hour
days
instead
of
the
traditional
five
eight
hour
days,
so
that
that
spread
that
project
up
by
about
seven
days.
So,
instead
of
being
a
seven
to
eight
week,
project
its
more
of
a
six
to
seven
week,
project.
B
B
A
B
You
know
we
just
had
a
meeting
again
this
thursday,
so
just
on
tuesday.
This
week
we
had
all
of
you
know
all
the
stakeholders,
emergency
services,
the
csc
bloomington
transat
monroe
county
public
works
and
others
convened
for
a
meeting
to
continue
hashing
out
these
and
hash
out
these
issues
and
continue
coordination.
B
B
No
one's
taking
this
lightly.,
the
the
conversations
about
has
been
going
on
for
months
and
months
and
months,
and
the
coordination,
the
communication
back
and
forth
between
all
the
parties
has
been
going
on
for
many
months.
So
you
know
this
is
somewhat
of
a
perfect
storm
of
projects
and
timing
of
projects
and
delays
and
other
projects
that
have
led
to
this
situation.
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
A
right
on
our
facebook
page.
later
after
this.
engagement,
there
was
a
specific
question
about
the
timing
of
the
third.
Third
and
frankly,
I
know
that
about
a
third
and
franklin
are
there
by
the
movie.
Theater
on
the
west
side
is
something
that
has
been
coming
up
for
several
months.
Now
that
crucial
that
signals
under
control,
then
the
end
is
scheduled
to
be
upgraded.
A
And
at
key
arthur
asks
for
those
of
us
who
live
in
each
l.a.
neighborhoods
outside
of
city
limits.
On
the
south
side.
Is
the
city
or
county
going
to
pay
for
repaving
our
roads
and
their
damage
from
all
the
increased
traffic,
as
well
as
pay
for
speed,
bumps
and
or
increased
law
enforcement
patrols
to
keep
our
children
safe?
When
everyone
has
to
come
through
to
get
anywhere.
B
Well,
we
hope
we
limit
the
number
of
media
driving
as
few
as
possible.
But
that's
a
great
question
and
a
good
point
to
be
made
is
that
you
know
there
are
official
detour
routes
for
each
of
these
projects,
for
the
gordon
pike
for
tech
or
for
the
fullerton
pike
phase
1
project,
which
includes
gordon
pike
and
wore
a
road.
You
know
the
official
detour
for
the
road
orson's
going
to
be
down
a
church
lane
in
fairfax
on
the
south
end
to
winslow
on
the
north.
B
B
B
B
B
So
those
are
certainly
things
for
the
projects
within
the
city
limits
that
we
will
be
doing
especially
tapped
in
rockport
and
countryside
way
there
and
then,
as
far
as
the
road
maintenance
goes,
you
know
repaving,
you
know,
repaving
roads
is
something
that
the
city
and
the
county
both
do
on
a
regular
basis.
Plan.
B
B
B
So
we
have
some
graphics
over.
The
graphics
were
pretty
much
the
map
of
the
projects
giovana
and
we've
got
that
open,
but
I
think
we're
going
to
tag
those
on
the
top
of
the
facebook
feed.
So
there
is
more
of
an
app
that
does
show
where
the
project
locations
are,
and
then
we
also
have
the
southwest
quadrant
detour
map,
which
is
going
to
show
each
of
the
projects
and
has
color
coordination
for
where
those
detours
are
taking.
Place.
B
But
just
to
go
over
again
what
the
deep
the
official
detour
routes
are,
current
that
are
currently
in
place
not
for
the
country
club,
briggs
project.
It's
going
to
be
rogers
to
the
south
of
the
country
club
down
to
portland
pike
and
then
back
north
on
walnut
street.
Knowing
that
there
are
some
increased.
B
The
one
thing
that
should
you
know
is
that
we've
had
assurances
from
the
county
is
that
the
portion
of
gorant
pipe
between
rodders
and
walnut
will
not
have
lane
restrictions
in
place
during
the
detour
of
the
country
club
bridge
down
to
that
location.
So
we
know
it
to
the
west
of
walmer
or
to
the
east
of
wal-mart
there
on
war,
between
mormon
woman.
B
B
B
B
A
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
B
We're
going
to
try
to
avoid
any
major
projects
down
there
on
the
southwest
side,
where
we
have
the
major
construction
going
on
and
then,
after
those
projects,
wrap
up,
try
to
get
back
in
there
and
hit
the
locations
for
pavy
that
are
planned
after
afterwards.
So
it's
one
on
one
thing
and
we're
definitely
well.
We
don't
have
any
other
questions
coming
and
it
seems
like
if
you
have
a
question
that
you're
dying
to
ask:
let's
do
it
now
at
the
comment
section
there.
A
B
B
B
B
A
B
They
were
able
to
get
those
repairs
done
before
the
asphalt
plants
close
last
year,
so
they
are,
they
are.
They
are
scheduled
to
begin
that
work
here
very
soon
to
repair
the
pavement.
There
pigment
markings
think
there's
some
sidewalk
repairs
that
still
need
to
be
made,
but
absolutely
so
one
of
the
things
we
do
with
projects
like
that
is
we
keep
a
bond
that
keeps
the
developer
responsible
for
those
improvements.
If
they
don't
do
it,
we
would
cast
bond
and
do
it
ourselves.
B
B
B
B
A
B
B
B
B
B
A
B
B
That
might
be
a
great
opportunity
for
a
miss
a
few
weeks
of
the
biggest
stress
points,
but
to
be
courteous,
be
courteous
to
other
drivers,
be
courteous
as
a
driver
be
on
the
lookout
for
folks
that
might
not
be
from
around
here
might
not
know
the
traffic
patterns,
and
just
do
know
that
you
know
that
I
understand
is
frustrated.
Interested
folks
have
a
lot
of
angst
about
this,
but
these
decisions
are
being
made
in
a
vacuum.
