A
B
Welcome
to
Bloomington
today
I'm
Laurie
Schulte
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
February
11th
through
the
17th
you've
heard
it
before
reduce,
reuse,
recycle
and
Bloomington.
Public
Works
is
taking
that
advice
to
heart.
Last
year
the
department
made
more
than
22,000
dollars.
Thanks
to
recycling
efforts,
the
city
recycled,
more
than
forty
six
tons
of
scrap
metal,
which
you
see
here
for
eleven
thousand
dollars.
C
B
I
allure
is
proud
of
what
the
city
does.
He
says.
All
businesses
in
Bloomington
should
make
an
effort
to
recycle.
A
new
program
will
help
Bloomington
residents
50
and
older
hone
their
leadership
skills.
The
evolved
program
is
open
to
all
people
older
than
50,
but
people
who
live
work
or
volunteer
in
the
community
or
have
retired
from
a
Bloomington
business
or
organization
will
get
a
discount.
The
program
is
meant
to
help
folks
become
a
leader
and
age
with
purpose
by
using
their
skills,
talents
and
experience.
B
D
What
the
program
is
geared
to
do
is
really
target
the
passions
and
interests
and
skills
that
boomers
have
developed,
whether
it
be
in
the
workforce
or
volunteering
throughout
their
lifetime
and
to
take
those
skills
and
passions
and
use
it
for
good.
So
there
have
been
a
lot
of
participants
who
are
passionate
about
children
and
they
implement
literacy
and
reading
projects.
B

unique,
the
Bloomington

and
arts

might
be
the
place

It's
something
Genevieve
Chamberlain
teaches
every
year
and
she
says
it's
a
great
way
to
impress
your
significant
other.
This
Valentine's

That
is
the
buzz
on
Bloomington
today
for
the
week
of
februari

through
the

But
