A
Welcome
to
Bloomington
today,
I'm
Laurie
Schulte
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
weekend,
December
9th
through
the
16th
and
we're
starting
off
here
in
the
Bloomington
Police
Department,
where
you'll
find
this
huge
box.
That
officers
hope
will
soon
be
full
of
toys.
It's
all
part
of
the
Toys
for
Tots
Drive.
Every
year
officers,
city,
employees
and
community
members
donate
items
for
kids
in
need
this
holiday
season.
Each
year
the
department
collects
about
500
toys,
including
a
few
bikes.
The
donations
are
for
kids
ages,
1
to
17.
A
Once
the
drive
ends
on
December,
eighteenth
officers
will
Caravan
with
other
police
departments
to
kare
11.
That's
where
the
toys
are
dropped
off.
Our
cameras,
followed
along
for
the
drive
last
year,
where
one
officer
described
the
importance
of
joining
together
across
different
agencies
for
a
common
cause.

A
You
would
like
to
donate
swing
by
the
police
department
during
regular
business
hours
and
this
time
of
year.
There
are
several
ways
you
can
help.
Others
you
can
donate
here
or
to
veep.
Their
holiday
toy
drive
is
under
way
and
they
have
bins
at
Civic,
Plaza,
the
bloomington-based
food
shelf
looks
to
collect
one
toy
book
and
two
winter
clothing
items
per
child
in
need.
They
also
aim
to
gather
one
game
per
household
toys
are
collected
for
kids
up
to
age.
18
ideas
for
gifts
include
gift
cards,
chapter
books,
sports
goods,
LEGO,
sets
and
puzzles.
A
You
can
drop
off
items
at
creekside
community
center,
the
public
works
department
or
civic
plaza
by
December
11th,
while
volunteering
is
a
great
thing
to
do
during
the
holiday
season,
so
is
supporting
our
local
economy.
That's
why
artistry
puts
on
its
annual
gifts
in
the
gallery
where
you'll
find
unique
items
from
local
artists
about
70
artists
contribute
to
the
two-week
boutique
in
the
Inez
Greenberg
gallery.

A
D
D
We
have
had
a
lot
of
person
f's
at
restaurants
and
other
locations
when
someone
puts
the
purse
on
the
back
of
their
chair
or
things
like
that,
it
makes
it
easy
for
a
criminal
to
take
that
purse
or
take
things
from
within.
So
don't
do
that.
It's
good
to
make
copies
of
all
your
credit
cards
that
you
have
or
anything
any
items
that
you
carry
in
your
purse
that
have
financial
information
in
the
event
that
it's
stolen.
D
A
Is
the
buzz
on
blooming
to
today
for
the
weekend
december,
nine
through
the
16th?
If
you
would
like
to
watch
other
stories
from
the
show
go
to
this
week's
playlist,
there
you'll
find
a
story
highlighting
Alan
and
Debbie
Schneider,
who
received
the
2015
legacy
award,
there's
also
a
piece
on
the
guys
and
gals
who
shoot
pool
almost
every
day
over
at
creekside
check
those
out
thanks
for
watching.
A
Most
tvs,
don't
look
like
this
anymore,
so
why
should
your
programming?
That's?
Why
new
channel
8
59
is
now
widescreen
high
definition.
It
went
from
this
to
this.
You
might
notice
some
other
changes
to
new
logo,
new
name,
but
all
the
same
quality
work
you've
come
to
depend
on
watch
Bloomington
television
in
HD,
for
a
clearer
picture
of.
What's
going
on
in
your
community.
