B
Welcome
to
Bloomington
today
I'm
Laurie
Schulte
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
July.
First
through
the
7th
residents
who
travel
on
East,
90th
Street
may
run
into
lane
closures
due
to
a
sewer
improvement
project,
it's
being
done
by
the
Metropolitan
Council
Environmental
Services,
and
will
rehabilitate
two
and
a
half
miles
of
pipe
beneath
East
90th
street
between
third
Avenue
and
old
cedar
avenue.
South
mces
operates
this
wastewater
collection
and
treatment
system
in
the
city
and
it
needs
an
update.
The
beginning
stages
of
the
project
are
underway
now.
B
Currently,
crews
are
installing
temporary
pipes
between
Portland
and
Chicago
on
East
90th
Street,
so
the
sewer
cleaning
and
realigning
can
get
started.
This
work
will
ship
traffic
forcing
drivers
to
travel
in
one
lane
in
each
direction.
Well,
you
can
still
get
down
East
90th
Street.
You
won't
be
able
to
make
a
left
turn
onto
90th
at
most
intersections.
This
is
just
the
beginning
of
the
sewer
improvement
project
which
will
last
through
November
for
the
latest
information
on
closures
and
progress.

Visit
the
city's
website
and
search
mces
Hennepin
County
is
offering
grants
to
help
with
recycling
efforts,
businesses,
nonprofits
and
institutions
looking
to
start
or
improve
their
recycling
or
organics
programs
may
apply.
The
money
could
be
used
by
containers
and
equipment.
It
could
also
help
pay
for
hauling
services.
If
the
business
already
recycles
the
grant
could
buy
improvements
to
loading
docks
and
waste
enclosures
free
assistance
is
also
available.

there's
some
work
that
comes
along
with
the
season.
B
C
1,
if
you
know
you
are
not
planting
grass
seed,
I
recommend
the
pre-emergent.
This
is
going
to
stop
weed
seeds
from
germinating.
It's
critical,
because
dandy
lions
are
going
to
come
up
fiercely
throughout
the
season,
so
you
want
to
eliminate
any
seeds
that
are
ever
going
to
pop
up.
That
does
not
kill
plants
that
are
already
growing,
though,
if.
B
You
missed
this
seminar.
It'll
be
airing
right
here
on
the
Bloomington
channel.
14
you'll
also
have
a
chance
to
attend
to
more
this
summer
on
July,
sixteenth,
there's
a
bath
remodeling
seminar,
which
will
discuss
cost
effective
updates
for
your
bathroom.
The
final
seminar
is
on
august
27th
and
it
will
cover
basement
waterproofing.
An
expert
will
share
information
on
how
to
solve
water
and
drainage
problems.
Each
seminar
takes
place
inside
the
rehearsal
hall
at
Civic
Plaza,
starting
at
seven.
Those
seminars
aren't
the
only
free
events
happening
this
summer.
B
Arts

the
parks
is
well
underway
and
there's
something
for
everyone.

It's
part
of
the
evening

series.
There
will
also
be
Thursday
blockbusters
here
where
the
city
hosts
top-notch
entertainment
and
food
vendors.
Moonlight

are
also
shown
