A
Welcome
to
Bloomington
today,
I'm
Laurie
Schulte
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
in
December,
second,
through
the
eighth
and
we're
starting
off
here
in
front
of
the
brand-new
JW
Marriott
that
recently
opened
up
to
visitors.
It
was
a
huge
part
of
phase
1
C
and
will
help
eventually
connect
them
all
to
its
face
to
expansion
across
the
street.
B
A
342
room
hotel
was
built
in
just
15
months
on
top
of
luxury.
Lodging
you'll
find
a
restaurant
called
cedar
in
stone.
The
food
is
inspired
by
Minnesota's
natural
roots
and
culture
and
is
inspired
by
local
farmers.
There's
also
19,000
square
feet
of
event
space,
making
it
one
of
the
largest
venues
in
the
Twin
Cities.
This.
C
Really
does
continue
some
of
the
great
momentum
that's
been
going
on
at
the
Mall
of
America.
Of
course,
it
started
with
a
hotel
on
the
other
side
of
the
mall
there's
this
one.
There
is
the
new
addition
to
the
mall
of
america,
which
is
happening,
which
includes
a
whole
lot
of
things,
including
the
new
retail
part,
this
hotel,
some
office
building
and,
of
course,
to
support
all
that
there's
some
additional
parking.
So
it's
just
great
to
see
all
this
happening
right
here
in
our
city.
A
Surrounding
that
new
hotel
in
the
south
loop
new
electronic
signage,
like
this,
can
be
found
to
help
drivers
get
around
this
way.
Finding
project
is
meant
to
help
drivers
navigate
around
mall
of
america
located
within
South
Loop.
The
13
new
signs
can
change
depending
on
traffic
conditions
and
parking
availability.
This
real-time
guidance
is
meant
to
relieve
stress
on
busy
intersections
and
provide
more
information
to
drivers
on
less
busy
roadways
and
parking
locations.
The
project
started
the
design
process
almost
two
years
ago
with
construction
beginning
this
last
spring.
A
After
your
trip
to
mall
of
america,
there's
a
good
chance,
you
might
start
doing
some
holiday
cooking
now,
if
not
done
properly,
the
process
can
be
harmful.
That's
why
environmental
health
employees
are
sharing
some
holiday
food
safety
tips.
It's
always
important
to
wash
your
hands
and
surfaces.
Often
this
can
prevent
bacteria
from
spreading
just
wash
your
hands
for
20
seconds,
with
warm
soap
and
water
before
and
after
handling
food
or
using
the
restroom
remember
to
wash
those
cutting
boards
and
countertops
to
between
preparing
different
foods.
A
One
big
food
faux
pas
cross-contamination,
keep
raw
meat,
seafood
and
eggs
away
from
ready-to-eat
foods,
always
use
separate
cutting
boards
and
plates.
It's
also
important
to
cook
and
cool
your
food
correctly
use
a
food
thermometer
to
make
sure
poultry
hits
165
degrees.
You
also
want
to
bring
food
to
that
same
temperature
when
reheating,
when.
A
Cool
use,
shallow
containers
and
refrigerate
immediately.
You
also
don't
want
food
to
sit
out
at
room
temperature
for
more
than
two
hours.
While
those
are
some
tips
protect
you
in
the
kitchen,
there's
also
steps
you
can
take
to
protect
yourself
outside
your
home.
This
holiday
season
for
the
next
few
weeks
officer,
Gerry,
waka
wits
with
the
Bloomington
Police
Department,
will
share
some
holiday
crime
prevention
tips.
We're.
E
Going
to
start
out
with
a
shopping
tip
and
that
has
to
do
with
driving
to
your
location,
whatever
store
or
facility
that
you
deem
to
do
your
shopping,
always
try
to
park
as
close
to
the
facility
as
possible,
and
especially
at
nighttime
Park
in
a
well-lit
area
and
as
close
to
the
destination
that
you
end
up
going
to.
When
you
get
there
make
sure
you
lock
your
doors
and
activate
your
alarm
and
then
notice
your
surroundings.
E
When
you
go
in
and
do
your
shopping
make
sure
that
any
products
that
you
purchase,
you
want
to
keep
with
you
at
all
times,
including
any
bags
that
you
bring
in
hand,
bags
or
purses.
Anything
like
that
make
sure
you
always
have
a
hand
on
that,
because
there's
people
that
are
always
looking
for
an
opportunity
to
take
those
things
from
you
and
if
you
have
to
bring
your
items
out
to
the
car.
The
best
place
to
put
them
is
in
your
locked
trunk.
E
A
Is
the
buzz
on
Bloomington
today
for
the
week
of
December?
Second,
through
the?
If
you
would
like
to
watch
other
stories
from
the
show
go
to
this
week's
playlist,
there
you'll
find
a
story
detailing
all
the
programs
and
opportunities
that
take
place
inside
Creekside
community
center,
there's
also
a
story
about
maintenance,
superintendent,
jim
ayler
and
the
big
award.
He
just
got
check
those
out
and
thanks
for
watching.
