B
Welcome
to
Bloomington
today,
I'm
Laurie
Schulte
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
January
seventh
to
January
thirteenth.
You
may
have
noticed
a
project
at
a
major
Bloomington
intersection
is
starting
to
take
shape
construction
for
Penn
American
phase.
Two
is
well
underway.
The
project
broke
ground
last
September.
It
will
include
a
hotel,
fresh
thyme
farmers,
market
grocery
store,
Red,
Robin,
restaurant
and
other
businesses.
What
you
see
being
built
is
a
250
vehicle
underground
parking
ramp.
This
will
provide
spots
for
hotel
guests
and
retail
customers.
B
More
work
above
ground
will
start
in
February.
Fresh
thyme
is
expected
to
open
in
September,
with
the
entire
project.
Up
and
running
by
the
end
of
2015.
Interest
is
growing
for
the
small
tenant
spaces
available
and
lease
proposals
are
in
the
works
for
several
businesses.
Developers
expect
all
or
most
tenants
to
be
committed
by
the
opening
of
the
project.
The
Bloomington
HRA
assisted
in
the
redevelopment
of
the
project,
a
heads
up
for
Bloomington
residents,
who
may
have
received
a
letter
from
a
company
trying
to
sell
water
service
line
coverage.
B
The
city
of
Bloomington
does
not
endorse
this
type
of
private
insurance.
It's
also
not
supported
by
Hennepin
County.
There
are
several
companies
sending
out
letters
trying
to
sell
this
water
line
coverage,
but
city
officials
say
pipes
are
relatively
new
with
usually
many
decades
of
life
remaining
city
officials
want
to
warn
community
members.
They
are
buying
the
insurance
at
their
own
risk
before
purchasing
city
workers
advised
residents
to
do
the
research
for
more
information
on
these

get
healthy.
Your
luck,
a
Wellness
Fair,
is
coming
to

community
center
tuesday
january
twentieth.
There
will
be
many
exhibits
revolving
around
senior
health
physical
therapy.
Students
will
be
giving
out
information
and
advice
to
older
folks
who
want
to
maintain
healthy,
productive
lifestyle,
but
there
is
open
and
free
to
people
50
and
older.
Those
who
attend
will
learn
how
to
prevent
injuries,
stay
active
and
exercise
their
minds.
B
B
The
Wellness
Fair
will
be
a
great
place
to
get
information
on
staying
active,
but
other
organizations
in
Bloomington
are
also
trying
to

the
