B
Welcome

I'm
kailyn
real
thanks
for
joining
us
now,
it's
time
to
bring
you
the
buzz
in
Bloomington
for
the
week
of
july,
twenty
fifth
through
the

Let's
start
this
week's
buzz
segment
off
with
a
challenge:
Hennepin
County
residents,
businesses
and
organizations
create
enough
waste
each
year
to
fill
Target
Field
11
times,
with
only
thirty-eight
percent
of
that
waste
being
recycled.
Hennepin
County
says
that
just
isn't
enough:
they
want
to
recycle
half
the
waste
produced
in
hennepin
county
by
2015
and
they
need
your
help
in
doing
that.
B
Ready
to
accept
the
challenge:
go
to
recycle

challenge
this
site
offers
ways
to
make
recycling
easier
at
home
work
or
on
the
go.
It
also
lists
a
recycling
guide,
giving
details
on
what
is

what
is

ever
wonder
how

that
mobilizes
teams
composed
of
friends,
families,
co-workers
to
celebrate,
survivors
and
remember
loved
ones,
while
raising
money
for
the
fight
against
cancer
to
get
your
team
registered,
go
to
relay
for
life
org
and
type

into
the
find
event
area.
This
brings
you
to
the
registration
page
and
also
lets
you
know
how
many
teams
are
signed
up.
How
much
money
has
been
raised
so
far
and
includes
a
countdown
to
the
event.
B
Relay
for
Life
is
the
signature
fundraising
event
for
the
American
Cancer
Society.
The
public
is
invited
and
welcome
to
attend
the
I
494
improvement
projects
is
set
to
begin
this
weekend.
The
first
step
in
this
process
will
be
the
removal
of
the
Xerxes
avenue
bridge.
The
bridge
will
closed
to
traffic
on
july
26,
to
prepare
for
removal
and
then
from
july
27th
through
the
30th.
Both
directions
of
I
494
between
highway,
100
and
I
35w
will
be
closed
as
crews
take
down
the
bridge,
ramp
closures
will
begin
at
nine
p.m.
B
on
friday,
and
the
full
closure
is
set
to
start
at
10pm.
The
freeway
will
reopen
at
five
a.m.
on
Monday
July
thirtieth
construction
on
the
new
Xerxes
Avenue
Bridge
will
continue
until
November
2012
and
resumed
in
april
2013
weather,
permitting
opening
to
motorists
in
next
May.
Well
now,
it's
time
for
another
arts
at
the
plaza
segment,
where
we
take
a
closer
look
at
the
changing
exhibits
inside
Bloomington
Civic
Plaza,
currently
in
the
Inez
Greenberg
gallery,
you'll
find
the
exhibit
speaking
of
space
by
Donelle
Bryner
and
for
rita
hughes.
B
Both
artists
deal
with
the
idea
of
space
in
paintings,
Griner's
pieces
explore
more
personal
space
and
how
we
occupy
space
during
the
process
of
waiting.
These
paintings
are
often
charged
with
emotional
tension
and
uncomfortable
space,
contradictory
to
that
Hugh's
artwork
deals
with
the
expanse
of
large
areas
of
space
and
how
people
either
shape
that
space
or
are
shaped
by
it.
B
These
colorful
abstract
pieces
encourage
a
viewer
to
envision
crowds
at
an
event,
paying
special
attention
to
how
they
assemble
and
disperse
speaking
of
space
will
remain
in
the
Inez
Greenberg
gallery
until
August
10th,
and
that's
the
buzz
in
Bloomington
for
the
week
of
july.
Twenty
fifth
through
the
31st
thanks
for
joining
us.
