On this week's The BUZZ on Bloomington Today, we'll update residents on the progress of a long-awaited equipment replacement at one popular city park. We'll also showcase the newest art exhibition to come into the Inez Greenburg Gallery.

Their
goal
is
simple:
provide
nutritious
meals
to
hungry
people
in
the
Twin
Cities.
That's
loaves
and
fishes
creekside
community
center
has
been
the
site
of
weekday
evening
meals
from
5
30
to
6
30
p.m.
monday
through
friday.
For
years
and
event
organizers,
say
they
need
help.
Volunteers
prepare
and
serve
meals
to
roughly
160
to
180
people
of
all
ages
and
backgrounds,
who
share
a
common
appreciation
for
what
loaves
and
fishes
offers.

This
not
only
serves
a
need
for
helping
them
financially.
It
also
serves
a
need
for
socialization.
A
lot
of
our
seniors
are
alone
and
isolated
from
their
families.
A
lot
of
the
people
that
come
are
really
isolated
and
to
be
able
to
come
and
sit
around
the
table
and
visit
with
other
people
is
just
extremely
important
for
their
mental
health,
as
well
as
their
physical
health,
because
they're
not
going
to
stay
at
home
and
feed
themselves
cook
a
nice
well-rounded
meal,
and
that
is
something
we
have.

be
a
health
fair
following
the
panel
comprised
of
several
specialists
in
the
featured
field
of
medicine,
where
residents
can
get
even
more
information.

session
and
health
fair
are
free
and
open
to
the
public

another
arts

plaza
segment,
where
we
showcase
the
changing
art
exhibitions
that
come
through
civic

until
November
30th
residents
are
invited
to
stop
in
and
view
the
annual
members
juried
art
exhibition.
This
exhibit
is
a
wonderful
celebration
and
display
of
Bloomington
theater
and
art
centers
many
talented
members.

exhibition

curatorial
fellow
of
the
Walker
Art
Center.
In
addition
to
selecting
the
exhibiting
pieces,
Moonilal
selected
13
awards,
including
a
$300
best
in
show
award,
the
Inez
Greenberg
gallery
is
located
on
the
lower
level
north
side
of
civic,
plaza,
visit
the
city's

Progress
on
the
reconstruction
of
Valley
View
skate
park
is
now
underway
in
early
October,
crews
began
demolition
and
removal
of
the
old
equipment
staff
within
the
city's
Parks
and
Recreation
Division
said
the
former
skate
park
has
more
than
served
its
purpose.
Weather
had
taken
its
toll
on
the
metal
structures
and
new
designs
have
since
made
their
way
onto
the
market.
Residents
can
expect
to
see
installation
of
the
new
equipment
by
American
ramp
company
taking
place
over
the
next
couple
of
weeks.

City,
Parks
and
Recreation
staff
say
the
new
design
will
provide
an
all
concrete,
streamlined
experience
for
skateboard
enthusiasts
bikers
and
roller
bladers.
This
skate
park
revamp
was
made
possible
by
a
generous
donation
from
Bobby
and
Steve's
auto
world,
as
well
as
a
separate
fundraiser
that
was
held
last
year.
All
contributors
will
be
recognized
by
a
plaque
at
the
park
once
construction
wraps
up
in
the
next
couple
of
months,
and
that
is
the

on
Bloomington
today
for
the
week
of
October
24th
through
the
30th.
