Opening
the
new
college
and
career
academy
with
in
bloomington
public
schools
help
students
get
high
school
and
college
credit
while
earning
Work
Ready
certificates.
There
are
four
pathways
criminal
justice
and
law
enforcement,
information,
technologies,
healthcare
and
Building,
and
Construction
Trades
right.
E
After
high
school,
they
can
go
into
an
apprenticeship
program
in
the
building
and
construction
construction
trades
and
start
making
a
very
decent
livable
wage,
starting
around
$16
an
hour.
Their
education
is
free
through
the
building
and
construction
trades
and
within
three
years
they're
making
over
fifty
thousand
dollars
with
no
college
debt.

Really
does
continue
some
of
the
great
momentum
that's
been
going
on
at
the
Mall
of
America.
Of
course,
it
started
with
a
hotel
on
the
other
side
of
the
mall
there's
this
one.
There
is
the
new
addition
to
the
mall
of
america,
which
is
happening,
which
includes
a
whole
lot
of
things,
including
the
new
retail
part,
this
hotel,
some
office
building
and,
of
course,
to
support
all
that
there's
some
additional
parking.
So
it's
just
great
to
see
all
this
happening
right
here
in
our
city
in
the.

Something
out
there
that
seems
so
different
and
so
specially
when
rice
commissioned
the
City
Council,
the
mayor,
everybody
is
so
participatory
and
you
can
see
the
sincerity
and
the
passion
they
have
and
there's
an
interest
showing
in
the
and
when
we've
done
our
projects
here,
the
the
amount
of
cooperation
and
enthusiasm
we
get
is
really
quite
unparalleled.
New.

Right
here
we
have
close
to
400
toys
that
the
members
of
the
Bloomington
Police
Department
have
put
together
for
Toys
for
Tots
and
we're
ready
to
go
deliver
these
up
to
kare
11
in
gold
belly.
This
year
we
set
a
record.
We
have
eight
bikes
this
year
and
most
of
those
were
I
actually
donated
by
our
commanders
and
our
sergeants
I
think
it's
good
for
the
department
to
get
involved
in
the
community
and
give
good
cheer
and
help
some
nice
gifts
for
the
children.
