A
Hi
everyone,
my
name,
is
Jeff
Potts
I
am
the
police
chief
here
in
Bloomington
and
we're
back
today
with
another
round
of
Q&A
with
BPD
and
we're
getting
some
really
good
questions
about
the
stay
at
home
order
and
recently
it
has
been
extended
until
May
18th,
and
so
the
timing
is
perfect
to
answer
some
more
questions
that
we've
gotten
from
communities.
So
let's
get
started.
A
Good
question
the
lake
in
Bloomington
is
busch
lake
and
a
city
ordinance
has
states
that
you
can
only
swim
at
the
beach
and,
unfortunately
because
of
kovat
19
and
the
difficulty
of
social
distancing
at
the
beach.
The
beach
is
closed.
It's
so,
unfortunately,
you
cannot
swim
at
busch
lake.
We
are
noticing
that
there
are
a
lot
of
people
using
the
parks,
which
is
great.
It
is
a
little
bit
concerning
that.
B
A
A
As
for
the
driver's
license
as
a
part
of
the
peacetime
emergency,
the
governor
has
issued
an
executive
order
that
you
do
not
have
to
issue
your
driver's
license
for
a
period
of
time
of
two
months
after
the
peacetime
emergency
expires,
and
so
you
will
have
time
once
this
is
over
to
renew
your
driver's
license.
But
you
do
still
have
to
renew
your
tabs.
Many
people
have
asked
about
the
Real
ID
and
the
deadline
that
was
initially
going
to
be
October
of
this
year.
A
A
We
definitely
have
seen
more
people
out
walking
jogging
riding
their
bikes,
since
the
weather
has
warmed
up
it's
great
to
see
people
out
there.
We
just
want
to
make
sure
that
the
motoring
public
and
the
people
riding
their
bikes
are
aware
that
there's
more
bicyclists
out
there,
you
can
certainly
ride
your
bike
in
Bloomington,
either
on
the
side
of
the
road
or
the
shoulder
or
on
the
sidewalks,
usually
with
smaller
kids.
A
It's
better
to
use
the
sidewalks,
but
just
be
careful
for
the
motorists
there's
more
bicyclists
out
there
and
for
the
bikers
just
be
aware
that
it's
is
springtime
and
our
motoring
public
is
maybe
not
quite
used
to
seeing
bicyclists
yet
so
just
make
it
be.
Take
it
a
little
bit
slower,
be
careful,
follow
the
traffic
laws
if
you're
riding
on
the
shoulder
as
a
bicyclist,
you
are
supposed
to
follow
the
traffic
laws.
A
If
you're
riding
your
bike
on
the
sidewalk,
you
do
have
the
right
away
at
intersections,
but
we
just
asked
you
to
be
very
careful
and
make
sure
you
do
stop
and
look
both
ways
before
you
enter
an
intersection.
But
it
is
great
to
see
people
out
in
the
community
on
their
bikes
or
jogging
using
the
park,
so
there
are
miles
and
miles
of
great
paths
in
bike
routes
in
Bloomington
and
we
encourage
people
to
get
out
and
use
them.
A
We
know
it's
been
a
long
time
that
you
might
have
been
cooped
up
in
your
house
and
a
little
exercise
and
fresh
air
is
great,
so
please
get
out
there,
but
just
be
careful.
Well,
thank
you
to
those
who've
sent
in
your
questions.
We
continue
to
stand
ready
to
answer
any
questions
that
you
have.
If
you
have
questions
you
can
share
them
with
us
with
Facebook
Twitter
next
door
or
the
link
below
and
we'll
do
our
best
to
answer
them
thanks
everyone
and
have
a
great
day.
