A
I
just
got
some
information
here
for
on
led
lighting,
because
everybody's
kind
of
like
hey,
what's
this
led
lighting?
Why
is
why
am
I
hearing
so
much
about
that?
And
why
can't
I
find
regular
light
bulbs
anymore
in
2007
epa
started
a
whole
bunch
of
changes
which
put
lighting
manufacturers
on
the
defensive
and
they're
kind
of
figuring
out
ways
to
make
stuff
work.
Better
2012
is
when
they
phased
out.
A
The
100
watt
light
bulb
this
year,
they've
phased
them
out
ever
since,
and
this
year
was
the
last
year
to
set
december
31st
of
2013.
So
is
the
last
date
for
manufacturer
for
the
60
watt,
light
bulbs,
everybody's
been
saying:
well,
I've
tried
the
compact
fluorescence
they
kind
of
worked.
I
had
some
of
them
that
worked
for
a
day,
some
of
them
that
worked
for
a
year
and
they're
supposed
to
get
like
six
or
eight
or
seven
years,
and
I'm
not
getting
that.
A
Has
to
with
design
has
to
do
with
build,
has
to
do
with
how
stuff
is
made.
The
cool
thing
is
that,
while
the
cfl
movement
has
been
going
on,
the
led
development
has
been
just
phenomenal
slowly,
but
truly
we're
seeing
a
lot
of
the
stuff
come
out
now.
A
The
the
thing
that
everybody's
been
trying
to
do
is
trying
to
create
a
60
watt
light
bulb
that
looks
like
a
60
watt,
light
bulb
or
40
watt
or
75
watt
and
everybody's.
Like
I.
A
A
A
A
When
we
talk
about
a
40
watt,
light
bulb
or
a
60
watt,
light
bulb
or
a
75
watt
light
bulb.
What
we're
not?
What
we're
talking
about?
Well
watts
talks
about
power,
sorry,
but
we're
really
not
talking
about
power.
When
we
talk
about
light
bulbs,
what
we're
really
talking
about
is
lumens
a
60
watt.
Light
bulb,
produces
about
800
lumens,
a
30
850
750,
depending
on
the
manufacturer.
A
This
is
the
equivalent
of
the
40
watt
light
bulb.
This
produces.
This
right
here
is
about
a
450
watt
light
bulb.
Excuse
me,
450
lumen,
light
bulb.
This
puts
out,
you
know
the
equivalent
of
what
was
the
old
40
watt
light
bulb.
You
can
still
get
the
40
watts,
and
this
was
as
much
as
they
were
able
to
produce
many
manufacturers
out
of
this
design.
A
A
A
So
if
you
have
a
table
lamp
or
something
like
that,
you're
going
to
get
light
shining
in
all
directions,
and
I'm
sorry
if
it's
a
little
bit
bright
dim
that
down.
That
was
the
other
problem
with
compact
fluorescence.
We
didn't
have
the
ability
to
dim
or
not
as
good,
so
these
are
nearly
instant
on
and
you
can
dim
them
down
this.
One
now
is
available.
It's
a
costco
and
menards
for
about
eight
dollars.
A
The
big
reason
that
we're
talking
about
leds
now
is
that
the
incandescent
light
bulb.
That's
been
around
forever.
90
percent
electricity-
that's
used
to
light.
Ninety
percent
actually
is
creating
heat.
Only
ten
percent
is
actually
creating
light,
so
the
leds
are
much
more
efficient
in
that
respect,
because
they're
creating
ninety
percent
light
and
ten
percent
heat
for
the
same
amount
for
what
the
wattage
is
so.
A
D
A
A
A
C
A
I
would
suggest
it
yeah
once
in
a
while,
I
would
say:
do
one
see
how
you
like
it
work,
you
know.
Do
the
next
one?
Initially
one
just
got
yeah
one
more
light,
one
more
lamp
here.
This
is
an
old
style
and
I
call
it
old
style.
This
is
two
years
old
and
it's
outdated.
At
this
point.
A
This
was
phillips
yeah,
and
this
was
forty
about
forty
dollars
two
years
ago
and
it
was
kind
of
weird
because
it
you
know
you
get
it
and
it's
yellow
and
it
kind
of
doesn't
look
right,
but
it
does
produce
nice
light
when
it's
actually
lit
and
it
is
fully
dimmable
very
extremely
well
made.
This
was
rated
number
one
two
years
ago.
A
You're
going
to
get
many
more
years
out
of
them,
phillips
took
yeah
with
the
cfl's
right
you're
going
to
get
it
with
the
leds.
Cfl's
had
design
issues
due
to
the
type
of
manufacturers
that
were
producing
them.
A
A
But
it's
this
one
is,
will
be
available
in
a
week
march
1st
it's
going
to
hit
home
depot.
A
Same
size,
oh
as
far
as
the
ones
that
snap
on
you
know,
I
don't
know
about
that.
That's
a
good
question.
A
A
A
Take
them
back
to
home
depot,
take
them
back
to
menards
to
lowe's
wherever
you
bought
them,
they'll,
take
them
back,
yeah,
there's,
electronics
in
them.
I
mean
these
are
what
they
call
rojas
compliant,
so
they
everything
will
break
down
in
these,
but
you
should
still
take
care
of
it.
Just
like
electronics,.
A
They're,
essentially
using
the
same
technology
in
these
that
they
use
for
stop
lights.
Saplights
have
been
converted
to
led
most
stock
plates.
I'll
say
that
about
eight
years
ago,
ten
years
ago,
so
you've
seen
stop
lights
and
how
many
cycles
do
they
go
through
on
off
on
off
every
day,
all
day,
many
times
an
hour
they're
using
the
same
technologies
and
same
components
that
makes
that
work
is
what
makes
this
work.
The
electronics
are,
very,
you
know
the
same
durability
so
when
they
rate
stuff,
obviously
they
haven't
run
these
for
22
years.
A
You
know
with
on
off
switching,
but
they
do
run
them
in
factory
settings.
They
do
run
them
with
epa
standards,
energy,
star
compliance
to
get
those
to
you
know
they
can't
just
print
that
on
a
box,
if
you
will
so
they
need
to
put
it
in
there
with
some
reasonable
lab
testing,
and
they
do
that
to
produce
that
and
yeah
and
they've
had
compact
fluorescent
leds
in
my
house
and
yeah.
The
leds
are
way
out
lasting
the
compact
fluorescence.
A
When
you
talk
installations
and
how
long
they
last
so
obviously
you're
going
to
find
a
few
off
brand
manufacturers
and
the
leds
aren't
going
to
last
as
long
but
there's
some
when
you
get
down
to
a
phillips
or
a
tcp
or
a
sylvania
who's,
putting
out
leds.
Now
those
are
mainline
manufacturers,
their
equipment's
good,
their
warranties
are
good.
The
warranty
on
this
alone
is
three
to
five
years.
A
A
A
I'm
just
going
to
show
you
a
couple
different
samples
here,
but
this
is
a
white
white.
This
would
be
like
you
could
use
this
for
an
under
counter
light.
Use
it
for
a
toe.
Kick
you
could
use
it
for
up
lighting
you'd
use
it
almost
anywhere
the
channel
literally,
is
you
know,
quarter
inch
or
less,
so
you
can
install
this
just
about
anywhere.
A
A
C
A
And
this
you
know
so,
if
you
want
to
have
this
color
this
color,
this
color,
this
color
all
colors
and
have
a
separate
driver
to
power
different
components,
you
could
actually
do
that
again
different
manufacturers,
but
this
is
something
you
can't
do
with
an
led
or
a
compound.
All
right,
excuse
me
can't
do
it
with
an
incandescent
or
an
alley.
Are
compact
fluorescent
or
incandescent?
Excuse
me.
A
A
Oh
yeah
yeah
there's
one.
E
A
Well,
I
won't
say
not
all
manufacturers,
but
a
lot
of
more
a
lot
of
the
manufacturers
are
now
making
electronic
transformers
so
that
they're,
actually
the
the
drivers
or
transformers,
are
actually
matching
the
load,
so
they're
actually
reducing
wattage
when
they
don't
need
to
be
driven
as
hard,
so
they're,
actually
not
using
as
much
power.
A
B
A
A
So
there
you
go
now
this
one
here,
it's
a
available
many
places,
but
it
is
a
home
depot
also
available
at
home
depot.
This
is
outdoor
rated.
You
can
literally
put
this
if
you
had
a
koi
pond
and
you
want
to
light
it
up.
A
A
B
A
So
this
is
a
product
that,
like
I
say
it's
you
can
install
this
under
a
cabinet.
You
can
install
it
outdoor.
I've
actually
seen
installations
done
for
like
in
a
commercial
application
for
a
mini
golf
course,
so
they
could
use
a
little
have
have
the
everything
lit
up
at
night.
It's
actually
double
sided
tape
on
the
back
and
I've
actually
used
standard
electrical
staples
to
hold
in
place.
C
A
Halogen
is
kind
of
our
happy
medium
right
now.
Halogen
is.
A
They're
using
that
as
a
gas
inside
of
an
incandescent,
now
you're
getting
more
light
with
less
energy
or
the
same
light
with
less
energy.
Excuse
me
with
the
halogens
halogen's
going
to
be
with
us
for
a
while
they're
less
expensive
than
than
the
led
is
right
now.
So
it's
kind
of
a
happy
medium.
If
you
will.
A
They
have
to
do
it
different
than
you
would
a
traditional
installation,
but
like
a
lot
of
parkways
instead
of
having
the
the
40
35,
40,
45,
foot,
lights,
yeah
and
then
pouring
all
that
light
down
to
get
led
down
they're,
putting
up
a
20
foot
light
to
get
to
get
the
light
on
the
ground,
so
they're
getting
the
light
where
you
need
it
instead
of
light
everywhere.
So
it's
being
more
specific
for
sidewalks
and
parkways,
and
that
kind
of
stuff.
A
It's
actually
a
change
of
the
design
or
change
of
change
of
installation
and
standard
fixture
nobody's
used
to
this
or
seen
it
home
depot
or
somewhere.
Many
have
many
have
this
exact
same
fixture
in
their
house
today,
cool
thing
about
led.
A
A
C
A
It'll
be
replacing
a
fixture,
we
won't,
I
won't
say
never,
but
sooner
than
later,
the
actual
light
bulb
concept
is
slowly
fading
away.
Light
bulbs
that
you
know
that
last
only
a
few
years
or
ten
years
or
the
days
are
numbered.
A
A
A
Deal
on
that.
One.
F
A
Yeah,
it's
going
to
depend
on
the
style
and
that's
one
thing
we're
going
to
you're
going
to
want
to
look
for
depending
on
the
application
one
might
not
even
fit
in
the
fixture,
because
these
are
some
of
these
designs
are
bigger.
Well,
some
of
these
are
just
are
physically
bigger
than
a
standard
light
bulb.
A
C
A
B
A
G
A
A
What
they're
saying
is
dimming
so
right
now,
if
you
have
a
three-way
you're,
gonna
wanna,
instead
of
having
the
three-way
capability
putting
in
a
dimming
a
touch
dimmer
or
or
a
dimming
module,
you
know
a
lamp.
This
is
a
this
right.
Here
is
a
lamp
dimmer,
so
you
could.
You
could
actually
put
this
in
front
of
your
lamp
when
you
plug
it
in.
A
It's
going
to
be
dependent
on
the
fixture
or
on
the
lamps.
Excuse
me.
A
The
newer
dimmers
for
the
leds
have
the
adjustability
in
them.
So
instead
of
dimming
down
your
traditional
all
the
way
down
to
zero
or
to
five
or
ten
percent
you
can,
you
can
set
it
based
on
the
lamps
that
you're
installing.
So
you
can
tweak
it
so,
instead
of
dimming
down
to
say
the
five
percent
you're
dimming
down
to
30
percent
power
consumption,
which
just
makes
your
it
just
sets
your
low
and
high
differently,
so
it
that
is
going
to
depend.
A
A
Yeah
this
installs
like
a
standard
light
fixture
yep,
oh
yeah.
I
probably
should
give
you
a
cost
on
this
one
just
to
kind
of
set
your.
A
Just
at
you,
at
a
level
of
kind
of
you
know,
this
is
a
common
style
fixture
and
typically
these.
These
are
a
fixture
like
this
in
an
incandescent
is
fifteen
twenty
dollars
at
home.
Depot
menards
lows
in
place
like
this,
so
with
the
leds
and
everything
inside
of
it,
this
fixture
actually
sells
at
costco
for
thirty
dollars.
A
B
A
A
One
of
them,
like
I
said
this-
is
there's
more
applications
today
than
there
was
two
years
ago.
There's
more
applications
two
years
ago
than
there
was
five
years
before
that
it
just
things
are
changing
so
quickly
that
we're
getting
so
many
different
choices.
Now
you
know
so
replacing
the
light
bulb.
It
might
be
easier
just
to
replace
the
fixture
and
be
done
with
it.
Yeah
they're
doing
it
with
flood
lights.
