A
Welcome
to
bloomington
today,
I'm
emily
taplin
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
september
30th
through
october
6..
Early
voting
is
underway
and
coming
to
civic
plaza
to
vote
in
person
wearing
a
face
covering
and
practicing
social
distancing
guidelines
is
one
of
several
options.
You
have
to
cast
your
vote
in
the
general
election.
A
A
The
hours
for
early
in-person
voting
and
ballot
drop-offs
are
weekdays
from
8
a.m,
to
4
30
p.m.
When
you
arrive
for
either
head
to
the
sign
marked
step,
one
between
the
council
chambers
and
the
theater
for
additional
details,
visit
blm
dot,
mn
voting
bloomington
voters
will
see
a
question
about
ranked
choice.
Voting
in
the
general
election.
B
Ranked
choice
voting
is,
as
its
name
suggests,
a
way
of
electing
individuals
by
ranking
your
choices.
So,
instead
of
voting
for
a
single
candidate
for
an
office,
you
would
vote
and
indicate.
This
is
my
first
choice.
This
is
my
second
choice.
This
is
my
third
choice,
etc
and
then
to
count
the
ballots.
B
If
no
candidate
gets
a
majority
of
the
votes
through
the
first
choice,
ballots
being
counted,
they
eliminate
the
candidate
that
receives
the
least
number
of
votes
and
those
people
that
had
voted
for
the
eliminated
candidate
as
their
first
choice
then
have
their
second
choice.
Counted.
That
process
just
repeats
until
one
candidate
receives
a
majority,
and
then
that
person
is
elected.
A
A
If
adopted,
the
first
time
it
would
be
used
is
in
the
2021
municipal
election,
the
city
has
a
list
of
faqs
on
our
website
at
blm.mn
rcv,
in
an
effort
to
fight
social
isolation,
bloomington
parks
and
recreation
creekside
community
center
is
turning
to
technology
every
tuesday
at
9
00
a.m,
they'll
be
hosting
a
connect
call
via
video
conference.
It's
available
for
any
senior
age,
50
plus
in
the
city
of
bloomington,
to
join.
C
The
calls
will
be
focused
on
staying
positive
and
fun,
we'll
be
connecting
with
one
another.
What
people
have
been
up
to
sharing
tips
about?
What
to
to
do
to
keep
busy,
maybe
sharing
some
recipes
memories.
We
hope
that
people
are
ready
to
try
something
new,
try
it
once
just
give
it
a
try.
You
don't
have
to
be
on
the
call
every
tuesday
it's
really
flexible
and
optional.
We
do
have
some
seniors
that
have
used
it
and
it's
working
really
well.
So
it's
it's
fun
to
be
able
to
see
and
hear
from
one
another.
A
There
will
also
be
a
monthly
game
done
via
video
chat.
The
first
thursday
of
each
month
at
1
pm
games
will
include
things
like
trivia
and
bingo
to
help
slow
the
spread
of
coven
19
and
due
to
the
vulnerable
senior
population.
Creekside
community
center
has
been
closed
to
the
public.
Since
march,
the
annual
october
fire
station
tours
have
been
canceled
due
to
covet

A
A
That
is
the
buzz
on
bloomington
today
for
the
week
of
september
30th
through
october
6..
If
you
would
like
to
watch
other
stories
from
the
show
go
to
this
week's
playlist,
there
