A
Welcome
to
bloomington
today,
I'm
emily
taplin
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
september,
2nd
through
the
8th,
we're
looking
to
you
for
input
on
city
services,
you're
invited
to
participate
in
the
national
citizen
survey.
You
can
participate
in
the
poll
from
now
through
september,
15th
you'll
be
asked
to
answer
questions
about
the
quality
of
life
in
the
community
and
your
satisfaction
with
local
government
services.
B
We
typically
do
have
custom
questions
in
every
survey.
Every
year
this
year
we're
focusing
on
a
couple
of
areas.
One
of
the
areas
we're
focusing
on
is
racial
equity.
So
we
do
have
some
questions
on.
How
welcome
do
various
groups
feel
in
the
city
of
bloomington?
We
ask
a
question
about
how
people
feel
about
social,
economic
and
racial
equity
differences
as
they
relate
to
housing
as
they
relate
to
health
as
they
relate
to
education
and
as
they
relate
to
the
criminal
justice
system.
B
So
we
do
have
several
questions
on
racial
equity,
and
then
we
do
have
also
a
question
this
year
on
covet
19
the
impact
on
people's
housing
on
their
income
on
having
to
work
while
sick,
so
we're
trying
to
get
a
handle
on
what's
going
on
out
there
as
it
relates
to
covet
19..
You
know,
I
think
there
are
actually
several
reasons
why
it's
really
important
that
we
hear
from
people
that
they
fill
out
the
survey.
One
is
because
we're
in
a
pandemic,
we
can't
really
get
out.
B
We
can't
engage
people
face
to
face
like
we
normally
can,
and
so
this
is
one
way
that
we
can
really
engage
with
people
and
find
out
how
they're
feeling
also
economically
we're
looking
at
a
budget
gap
right
now
for
2021.
So
we
want
to
get
as
much
information
as
we
can.
So
the
city
city
council
can
make
decisions
about
the
2021
budget,
so
it's
just
really
important
to
know
what's
going
on
in
people's
households
so
that
the
city
can
support
them
through
this
pandemic
and
through
this
economic
downturn,.
