A
Welcome
to
bloomington
today,
I'm
emily
taplin
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
december,
8th
through
the
14th
ideas
for
bloomington's
future
continue
to
take
shape,
as
community
leaders
gather
at
civic,
plaza
bloomington
tomorrow.
Together
is
a
strategic
planning
initiative
that
connects
residents
and
city
representatives
on
december,
2nd
3rd
and
fourth,
the
30-member
core
planning
team
met.
After
a
call
from
the
city,
more
than
100
residents
applied
to
serve
on
the
team.
The
group
is
made
up
of
city
council
members
and
employees
and
residents.
B
I
think
oftentimes
there
are
programs,
amenities
or
things
created
for
people
in
the
community.
That
may
not
have
always
involved
community
input,
and
so
I
think
it's
a
great
opportunity
and
really
privileged
to
be
part
of
this
process
and
and
what
see
what
bloomington
wants
to
do
for
its
city.
C
I'm
already
experiencing
some
of
that
in
our
round
table
discussions,
just
learning
that
other
people
have
some
of
the
same
core
values
that
I
have,
and
so
what
I'm
hoping
to
walk
away
with.
Is
this
idea
that
I
share
in
the
same
type
of
core
beliefs
that
other
people
share
and
we
all
have
great
aspirations
for
our
city,
we're
all
doing
the
very
best
we
can
for
the
future
of
our
city
and
ensuring
that
all
people
have
an
opportunity
to
experience
the
things
that
bloomington
has
to
offer.
A
Input
was
also
collected
at
community
cafes,
hosted
by
the
city.
This
fall
open
to
all
residents.
More
than
150
people
participated
in
the
coming
weeks.
We'll
share
more
about
the
court
planning
team
sessions
right
here
on
bloomington

by
a

panel

of

spark
program.

bench
faces

offers
a
place
for
rest
and
contemplation.
It's
also
an
ode
to
the

vibrant
