A
Welcome
to
bloomington
today,
I'm
emily
taplin
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
march
24th
through
the
30th
bloomington
has
a
vaccination
site
in
its
own
backyard.
Mall
of
america
has
a
permanent
vaccination
site.
It's
the
fourth
of
its
kind,
joining
minneapolis,
duluth
and
rochester.
A
Earlier
this
month,
governor
walls
visited
the
site
and
met
with
bloomington's
own
mayor
tim,
bussey
and
public
health
staff.
The
state
has
a
tool
to
help
connect
you
to
the
coven
19
vaccine.
The
coven
19
vaccine
connector
helps
minnesotans
find
out
when,
where
and
how
to
get
their
vaccine,
it
will
link
you
to
the
network
of
providers
like
health
care
systems,
pharmacies
and
local
public
health.
Once
it's
your
turn
to
get

The
city's
new
community
development
director
started
this
month.
Carla
henderson
was
recently
selected
as
director.
She
has
an
extensive
background
in
planning
infrastructure,
maintenance,
community
engagement
and
economic
development.
Her
municipal
experience
includes
five
years
working
for
highland
park,
michigan
a
suburb
of
detroit
and
nine
years
in
ann
arbor
michigan.
She
was
introduced
to
council
on
march
15th.
B
This
is
the
only
job
I
applied
for
in
the
state
of
minnesota
and
I
always
feel
like
when
you're
transitioning
from
positions
you're
either
being
pushed
or
you're
being
pulled.
And
when
I
read
the
job
description
you
know
I
gave.
I
give
a
lot
of
credit.
Whoever
wrote
that,
because
something
spoke
to
me
to
send
my
resume
in,
I
didn't
know.
B
A
April
is
coming
up
quickly,
and
that
means
the
city's
annual
curbside
cleanup
the
first
day
of
pickup
this
year
is
april
3rd.
The
program
aims
to
help
residents
get
rid
of
items
that
are
difficult
to
dispose
of
for
a
full
list
of
items
accepted
and
to
find
out
your
curbside
cleanup
day
visit
blm.mn,
cleanup
and
remember
not.
Every
item
belongs
in
the
landfill.
If
it's
in
good
condition,
it
should
be
donated
or
reused.
A
A
Productive
conversations
since
last
fall
led
to
a
term
sheet
between
the
city
and
three
rivers
park
district
to
have
the
district
be
the
operator
of
highland
greens
for
the
next
four
years.
City
staff
and
the
district
are
working
to
ensure
a
successful
opening
of
the
golf
course
as
soon
as
the
weather
allows.
A
The
sunshine
and
melting
snow
has
us
all.
Dreaming
of
summer.
The

on
their

of
the
