A
Welcome
to
bloomington
today,
I'm
emily
taplin
thanks
for
joining
us.
First,
we
bring
you
the
buzz
for
the
week
of
august
18th
through
the
24th
help
protect
yourself
and
those
you
love
by
getting
vaccinated
plus
receive
a
hundred
dollars.
The
state
is
offering
a
100
visa
gift
card
incentive
for
people
across
the
state
to
get
the
coven
19
vaccine.
If
you
are
vaccinated
with
your
first
dose
between
now
and
august
22nd,
you
are
eligible
and
can
submit
your
request
to
the
minnesota
department
of
health
at
the
web
address
on
your
screen.
A
If
you
need
help
getting
connected
to
a
clinic
near
you
visit
vaccines.gov,
if
you
want
to
help
protect
a
popular
watershed
in
bloomington,
we
might
have
the
job
for
you.
The
9
mile
creek
watershed
district
board
is
accepting
applications
they're,
calling
on
board
members
to
help
protect
and
enhance
the
water
resources
in
the
nine-mile
creek
watershed
the
board
serves
residents
in
bloomington,
ridgefield,
edina,
eden,
prairie,
hopkins
and
minnetonka.
A
It's
helpful.
If
applicants
have
a
background
in
water
conservation,
development
law,
engineering,
environment
or
public
administration
members
serve
three
years
and
must
be
a
resident
of
the
district
to
learn
more
head
to
the
web
address
on
your
screen,
applications
are
due
september.
Third
nominations
are
being
accepted
for
the
omar
bondaroo
human
rights
award.
This
award
is
presented
by
the
human
rights
commission
to
an
individual
or
organization
that
has
made
a
significant
contribution
to
ensuring
the
rights
of
vulnerable
groups
in
bloomington.
B
A
list
of
prior
recipients
of
the
award
really
shows
a
diversity
in
terms
of
human
rights
struggles,
as
well
as
the
diversity
of
venues
in
which
human
rights
contributions
take
place
every
day.
So
this
past
year
has
been
really
challenging,
but
that
has
really
brought
out
the
best
in
so
many
people
and
groups
of
people
to
step
up
whether
that
be
fighting
injustices,
helping
out
individuals
that
are
struggling
unemployment.
A
To
learn
more
or
nominate
someone
head
to
blm.mn
omar
or
call
the
number
on
your
screen
to

The

is
august
27th,
whether
you're
looking
for
a
farmer's
market,
midweek,
music
and
market
or
entertainment
for
the
kids
or
grandkids.
The
city
has
activities
for
all
happening
year
round
for
a
full
list
of
all
events
happening
around
town,
go
to
bloomingtonmn.gov
and

the
city's
calendar.
A
That
is
the
buzz
on
bloomington
today
for
the
week
of
august
18th
through
the
24th.
If
you
would
like
to

other
stories

the
show

this
week's
playlist,
there
you'll
find
a
recap
of
bloomington's
first
pride
event,
plus
your
weekly
check-in
with
mayor
busse
in
