the

Forum
mayor
Tim
Bussey
kicked
off
the
sequence
of
town
hall
forums
in
August,
inviting
community
members
to
ask
questions
and
learn
more
about
projects
and
initiatives
happening
in
the
city
on
Monday,
September
26th.
The
focus
will
be
on
District
4
with
council
member
Patrick
Martin.
A
The
event
will
be
held
at
Hometown
Church
from
6
30
to
8
pm
this
year
is
the
first
city-wide

A
This
is
part
of
the
city's
new
bulky
item
disposal
plan
which
moves
curbside
cleanup
to
a
bi-annual
event
happening
during
even-numbered
years.
Construction
crews
are
working
on
redirecting
and
expanding
the
sewer
system
in
bloomington's
South
Loop.
The
work
is
happening
on
American
Boulevard
from
Winsted
way
to
just
east
of
34th
Avenue.
Current
and
upcoming
development
in
the
area
has
caused
the
existing
sanitary
sewer
to
become
close
to
its
capacity
limit
with.
B
Some
of
the
current
development
that's
occurring
in
the
area,
the
with
the
sanitary
sewer
being
we'll
call
it
online
and
available
coming
up
here
at
the
end
of
2022.
It
will
be
in
use
already
with
the
capacity
that's
needed
in
2023
and
then
also
we're
projecting
15
to
20
years
down
the
road
on
the
additional
development
that
occur
in
the
area
and
upsizing
the
pipe
to
increase
to
the
capacity
that
we
need
for
that
future
development.
A
Currently,
westbound
American
Boulevard
is
closed
between
34th
Ave
and
Winstead
way
and
will
remain
closed
through
fall
likely
late
October
there
will
be
traffic
impacts
in
the
area
through
November.
This
is
the
second
phase
of
the
project.
The
first
phase
was
completed
in
Fall
of
2021
and
extended
from
East
Old,
Shakopee,
Road
and
24th
Avenue
over
to
Winstead
way
and
then
along
Winsted
way
from
East
Old
Shakopee
Road
to
American
Boulevard,
provide
your
feedback
and
help
improve
safety
at
and
around
The
I-35w
Interchange.
A
C
Is
a
really
Vibrant
Community,
the
people
that
live
here,
the
people
that
work
here
and
how
they
engage
with
the
community
is
changing.
It's
always
changing
and
we
want
to
get
out
ahead
of
that
and
really
understand
what
are
the
needs
of
the
community?
How
do
they
get
around?
How
do
they
recreate?
How
do
they
work
and
what
can
we
do
to
really
enhance
all
of
those
activities.
C
98Th
Street
is
a
really
important
Corridor.
The
interchange
with
35W
is
right
in
the
Heart
of
the
City
there's
a
lot
of
Transit
service.
There's
a
lot
of
Redevelopment
happening.
It's
just
a
really
interesting
area
right
for
a
lot
of
changes
and
a
lot
of
excitement,
and
so
the
city's
conducting
a
study
looking
first
and
foremost
at
The
Interchange
and
then
the
corridor
between
the
the
city
complex,
all
the
way
over
to
Lindale
Avenue
to
see
what
do
residents
like
about
the
corridor.
What
things
do
they
think
could
improve?
C
How
do
they
use
it
and
what's
their
vision
for
the
future
of
the
corridor?
So
once
we've
established
a
plan
for
the
corridor,
that's
going
to
include
a
whole
list
of
projects,
near-term
projects
and
then
projects
well
into
the
future,
for
example,
something
like
a
bike
path
that
we
know
we
need
a
bike
path
along
98th
Street.
That
could
happen
within
the
next
few
years,
as
we
make
funding
available
something
like
a
new
bridge
to
better
accommodate
bikes
and
pedestrians.
