First,
we
bring
you
the
Buzz
for
the
week
of
January
18th
through
the
24th.
The
city
has
received
funding
to
help
improve
bike
and
pedestrian
areas
around
Valley,
View,
Elementary
and
Middle
Schools.
Some
improvements
were
already
made
to
the
existing
sidewalk
Crossings,
with
the
2022
pavement
reconstruction
project
on
both
East
88th
Street
and
3rd
Avenue
South.
Additional
safety
improvements
are
needed,
so
the
city
applied
for
a
grant
through
the
Metropolitan
Council
to
help
pay
for
the
project.

city
learned
it
was
awarded
398
thousand
dollars
for
the
project
which
will
take
place
in
2025..
Did

There's
a
Bloomington
homebuyer
mortgage
assistance
program.
If
you're
a
Bloomington
home
buyer,
you
may
qualify
for
a
ten
thousand
five
hundred
dollar
down
payment
assistance
loan
to
qualify.
Borrowers
must
have
a
valid,
fully
executed,
purchase
agreement
at
the
time
of
the
application,
be
purchasing
a
primary
owner
occupied
home
and
not
exceed
80
percent
of
the
area.
