First,
we
bring
you
the
Buzz
for
the
week
of
May
17th
through
the
23rd.
The
494
project
is
slated
to
begin
this
summer.
The
MnDOT,
494
reconstruction
project
is
a
multi-year
project
that
will
make
safety
and
congestion
mitigation
improvements.
It.

Will
work
on
making
improvements
at
The,
Interchange
of
35W
and
494?
It
will
add
Easy
Pass
Lanes
on
494,
between
East
Bush,
Lake,
Road
and
35W,
and
then
to
help
get
ready
for
Easy
Pass,
going
further
to
the
east.
It's
going
to
reconstruct
Bridges
at
Nicollet,
Portland,
12th
and
then
a
new
pedestrian
bridge
at
Chicago
Avenue.
The
city
of
Bloomington
has
spent
a
lot
of
time
and
effort
in
advocating
for
this
Regional
project.
The
benefits
are
just
having
a
better
freeway
and
Highway
System
benefits,
Bloomington
residents
in
their
mobility
and
safety
getting
around
the
region.

year,
National
Police
Week
is
recognized.
May
14th
through
the
20th
on
Peace
Officers
Memorial
Day
Monday
May
15th
BPD
hosted
a
ceremony
at
Civic
Plaza
to
honor
all
police
officers
who
have
given
their
lives
while
defending
the
public,
Chief
Hodges
said
a
few
words
and
the
BPD
Honor
Guard
did
a
three
volley
salute,
followed
by
the
playing
of
TAPS
and.
C
C
C
D
A
The
BPD
Honor
Guard
also
stood
guard
at
Minnesota
law
enforcement.
Memorial
in
Saint
Paul
on
the
15th
come
explore.
The
art
of
elementary
students
at
the
Bloomington
Center
for
the
Arts,
the
Bloomington
Elementary
School's
art,
show
features
work
from
K-5
elementary
students,
it's
put
on
every
year
by
Bloomington
Elementary
art
specialists
in
collaboration
with
Artistry.
