the

for
the
week
of
January
4th
through
the
10th

Bloomington
residents
have
applied
to
fill
the
vacant
at
large
City
Council
seat
council
member
Nathan
Coulter
was
elected
to
the
Minnesota
House
of
Representatives,
and
his
last
meeting
with
the
city
was
December.
19Th
interviews
will
be
held
on
Wednesday
January,
4th
from
7
15
to
9
pm
and
Saturday
January,
7th
from
9
A.M
to
noon
after
interviews
take
place.

The
city
council
will
select
finalists
to
participate
in
the
second
round
on
Wednesday
January
11th
at
6.
Pm
interviews
will
be
held
in
the
council
chambers
at
Civic
Plaza.
The
process
will
also
be
recorded
and
available
on
the
city's
YouTube
channel
and
Bloomington
TV.
An
appointment
is
expected
late,
January
or
early
February.
The
person
appointed
will
Phil
coulter's
unexpired
term
until
the
next
regular
municipal
election
on
November
7th,
whoever
is
elected,
will
then
fill
the
remainder
of
the
term
through
January
5th
2026.

and
change
makers
profiles.
The
Bloomington,
pioneers
and
change
maker
profile
was
introduced
by
the
office
of
racial
Equity
inclusion
and
belonging
in
2021
and
features
local
black
leaders,
people
who
are
working
to
advance
civil
rights
and
remove
barriers
to
to
equity
in
the
fields
of
Criminal,
Justice,
Economic,
Development,
education,
Faith
government,
Health
housing
and
more.

series
honors
Pioneers,
who
have
done
so
much
to
chart
the
path
where
we
are
today
and
who
are
Paving
the
way
for
future
Generations
honorees
have
a
Bloomington
connection,
whether
they
live
work,
volunteer
or
grew
up
here.
