From YouTube: Artistry presents "Unfurled"
Description
Explore the ideas, hopes and struggles of the emerging local artists featured in the latest Inez Greenberg Gallery exhibit "Unfurled", presented by Artistry.
A
I'm
curating
the
show,
so
basically
that
means
that
I
find
the
artists
try
to
match
their
styles
to
create
a
cohesive
exhibition
of
art.
Well,
my
goal
was
to
give
exposure
to
some
emerging
artists.
I
think
they
have
some
very
interesting,
fresh
work
and
I
feel
that
it
can
really
bring
a
different
kind
of
flavor
out
to
this
area
of
the
cities,
and
you
know
I
like
to
see
you
know:
artists
of
color
find
different
venues
to
share
their
voice
with
another
community
that
you
know
isn't
familiar
with
them.
B
It's
kind
of
nice
to
be
able
to
be
in
conversation
with
our
works,
and
I
know
we're
all
taking
on
different
aspects
addressing
different
issues
and
I
think
the
one
unifying
not
only
as
artists,
but
also
as
bipark
artists,
I
think,
is
nice
to
not
only
have
the
representation
in
in
like
white
spaces
or
white
specific
dominating
spaces.
So
I
think
it's
nice
to
be
able
to
share
our
work
and
expand
conversations
for
folks.
B
So
I
always
say
that
our
an
artistic
practice
is
an
extension
of
ourselves
and
and
so
for
me,
as
a
queer
person.
I
typically
want
to
share
my
work
to
the
queer
community,
but
then
also
to
non-queer
people
as
a
way
to
like
invite
them
in
a
conversation
and
just
to
be
able
to
represent
myself
through
identity
and
the
work,
but
also
have
a
little
bit
of
a
conversation
around
that.
C
I
definitely
be
honored
to
be
part
of
this
exhibition
and
especially
with
all
these
talented
artists,
so
the
the
way
I
can
express
myself
is
just
kind
of
go
out
and
have
having
a
little
a
kind
of
childhood
habit.
I'll
have
and
so
go
out
to
can
pick
up,
rocks
and
box,
especially
all
kinds
of
little
bugs
and
pick
up,
and
I
call
trash.
C
So
it's
basically
anything
everything
interesting
to
me
on
the
ground.
I
can
find
it
in
the
nature
I
put
in
there
and
bring
back
and
talk
to
them
and
play
with
them
and
kind
of
like
be
friends
with
them.
That's
kind
of
how
I
communicate
to
the
world.
This
whole
thing
is
later
on
appearing
to
my
painting.
C
D
Most
of
my
work
has
to
do
with
my
family
family,
my
culture-
oh
I'm
always
in
conversation
with
something
I
like
investigating
things
and
then
bringing
just
all
those
the
content
of
all
the
things
that
I
explored
to
the
canvas
and
then
just
problem
solving,
I'm
inspired
by
color
things
that
hold
contradictions,
things
that
are
humorous
in
in
a
way
like
the
irony
of
something
I
am
influenced
by
things
that
hold
history,
things
that
hold
narrative-
it's
always
good
to
be
around
other
artists
of
of
color
and
to
see
what
their
works
are
exploring.
D
E
I
just
want
to
say
that
when
I
walked
into
the
into
the
show,
I
the
first
thing
that
really
struck
me
about
all
the
pieces
and
all
the
artists
is
their
use
of
color
and
I'm
just
really
excited
about
just
being
a
part
of
a
very
colorful
show,
and
I
I
each
person's
work
is
addressing
something
so
important
in
their
own
way.
I'm
just
excited
for
for
it
to
be
in
bloomington
and
meet
bloomington
audiences.
A
I
know
we're
in
a
epidemic
situation
right
now,
but
if
you
can
take
some
time
to
come
out
and
really
experience
art
in
this
time
form,
I
think
that
you
will
be
greatly
pleased
at
the
artists
and
the.
