B
C
C
A
compositional
practice
piece
would
you
say,
and
it
was
originally
invented,
the
sketch
or
something
that
would
eventually
be
turned
into
a
ballet
or
an
opera.
She
did
not
turn
it
into
a
valley
or
not,
where
composers
will
oftentimes
sketch
things
out,
musically
or
string
quartet
or
and
then
later
on
expanded
into
a
full
symphonic
work
and
instead
of
writing
for
quartile
or
for
channel
for
this
piece,
she
wrote
it
for
solo
heart
and
just
left
it
there.
This
is
new
job.
D
Okay,
this
is
good
there.
We
go
any
of
you
any
Edgar,
Allan
Poe
fans
here.
Oh
me,
too,
it
was
quite
amazing
billion
for
treaty
Post
story
mask
of
the
Red
Death
is
a
haunting
downright
chilling
tale
about
Prince
Prospero
and
is
wealthy
guests
who
are
trying
to
escape
the
play
by
hiding
out
in
an
abbey.
The
story
was
such
music
by
French
composer
aundrea
Calais,
who
was
a
contemporary
of
Debussy
and
Ravel.
D
Actually,
Debussy
trusted
had
played
to
orchestrate
minion
of
his
pieces.
He
did
not
have
a
very
long
life.
He
was
47
when
he
died
in
1925
and
he
would
not
have
actually
known
Edgar
Allan
Poe,
who
died
in
18-49.
Both
men
had
relatively
short
lives
and
careers,
but
they
were
a
very
powerful
and
passionate
artists
in
their
own
right.
The
reason
the
French
citizens,
artists,
writers,
composers,
knew
Edgar
Allen
Poe's
work
was
because
Charles
Baudelaire,
the
wonderful
civilus
poet,
translated
the
works
of
Edgar
Allan
Poe
into
French
and
made
them
accessible
to
people.
D
So
Calais
was
not
the
only
French
composer
who
set
those
stories
to
music.
Did
you
see,
and
it
also
set
very
interesting
works?
Two
stories
at
Nagar,
Allan
Poe,
can
I
follow
the
poster
pretty
closely
in
his
quintet
and
I'd
like
to
demonstrate
you
some
of
the
sound
effects
that
way
before
Pixar
and
Disney.
That
actually
may
have
inspired
some
of
the
posters
for
that.
So
you're
going
to
hear
a
tremolo
and
then
we
won't
affect
where
we
play
it
close
to
the
bridge
that
perhaps
jog
to
demonstrate.
D
D
E
F
E
But
the
Prince
Prospero
was
happy
and
dauntless
and
sagacious
when
his
dominions
were
half
depopulated.
He
summoned
to
his
presence
a
thousand
lighthearted
friends
from
among
the
knights
and
dames
of
his
court
and
with
these
retired,
to
the
deep
seclusion
at
one
of
his
Abbey's.
This
was
an
extensive
and
magnificent
structure.
The
creation.
E
E
E
E
It
was
a
love
you
see,
but
first
let
me
tell
of
the
rooms
in
which
was
held
there,
Sutton
and
Imperial
suite.
There
was
a
sharp
turn
at
every
twenty
or
thirty
yards
and
at
each
turn,
no
effect
to
the
right
and
left
in
the
middle
of
each
wall.
A
tall
and
narrow,
gothic
winter
looked
out
upon
closed
Court.
E
These
windows
were
of
stained-glass,
whose
color
buried
in
accordance
with
the
prevailing
hue
of
the
decorations
of
the
chamber
into
which
had
opened
that
at
the
eastern
extremity
was
hung,
for
example,
in
blue
and
vividly
blue
words
windows.
The
second
chamber
was
purple
in
its
ornaments
and
tapestries,
and
here
the
paintings
were
purple.
G
E
Was
in
this
room
also
that
there
stood
against
the
Western
gigantic
clock
of
Ebony
his
pendulum
swung
to
and
fro
with
a
dull
heavy
monotonous
playing.
There
came
from
the
brazen
lumps
of
the
clock.
A
sandwich
was
clear
and
loud
and
deep
and
exceedingly
musical.
We
have
slope
jr.
a
note
and
emphasis
that
at
each
legs
of
an
hour,
the
musicians
of
the
orchestra
were
constrained
to
pause
voluntarily
in
their
performance
to
hearken
to
the
sound
with
us.
The
Walters
before
ceased
their
evolutions
and.
C
E
Passed
their
hands
over
their
brows,
a
second
confused,
reverie
or
meditation,
but
when
they
had
those
had
fully
ceased.
A
like
laughter
at
once
pervaded
the
assembly.
The
musicians
looked
at
each
other
and
smiled
as
if
at
their
own,
nervousness
and
folly,
and
then,
after
the
lapse
of
sixty
minutes,
there
came
yet
another
chiming
of
the
clock
and
then
were
the
same
disconcert
and
tremulous
to
meditation
as
before.
E
To
and
fro
and
the
seven
chambers,
there's
stuff
the
multitude
of
Dreams
and
these
the
dreams
right
in
and
about
taking.
You
can
the
rooms
and
causing
the
wild
music
of
the
orchestra
to
see
Miller
and
rolled
up
their
steps
and
not
their
strikes.
The
ebony
clock,
which
stands
in
the
hall
of
the
velvet
and
then
for
a
moment
all,
is
still
and
all
the
silent
save
the
voice
of
the
clock.
The
dreams
are
stiff,
frozen
as
they
stand.

E
E
Was
tall
and
wanted
shrouded
from
head
to
foot
in
the
habiliments
at
the
grave?
The
mask
which
conceals
the
visit
was
made
so
merely
to
resemble
the
countenance
of
a
stiffened
corpse,
but
the
closest
scrutiny
must
have
had
difficulty
in
detecting
the
cheat
and
yet
all
this
might
have
been
endured,
if
not
approved
but
mad
revelers
around.
But
the.
C
E
The
face
was
the
sprinkled
with
the
starlit
hole
the
eyes.
Prince
Prospero
fell
upon
this
spectral
image,
which,
with
a
slow
and
solemn
movement
as
if
more
fully
to
sustain
its
role,
stumped
among
the
Walters
Prince
Prospero
was
seen
to
be
convulsed
in
the
first
moment,
with
a
strong
shudder,
either
in
terror
or
distaste.
But
in.
F
E
E
E
It
was
then,
however,
that
the
Prince
Prospero
maddening
with
rage
and
the
shame
of
his
own
momentary
cowardice,
rushed
hurriedly
through
the
six
chambers.
Will
numb
bogdan
mana
count
to
be
deadly
terror
that
had
seized
upon
all
people
off
the
drawn
dagger
and
it
approaches
within
three
or
four
feet
that
the
retreating
figure
when
the
lab,
having
attained
the
extremity
of
the
pelvic
apartment,
turned
suddenly
he
confronted
his
pursuer
there's
a
sharp
try
and
the
dagger
dropped
gleaming
upon
the
salient
carpet
upon
which
instantly
afterwards
fell
prostrate
and
death.
The
Prince
Prospero.
