three
years
the
city
of
bouler
publishes
the
safe
streets
report,
a
report
that
measures
traffic
accidents
identifies
trends
to
improve
transportation
safety.
After
this
evaluation,
the
city
created
a
vision,
zero
action
plan
to
address
the
problems
found
in
the
safe
streets
report.
We
spoke
with
a
civil
engineer
from
the
city
of
boulet
to
find
out
what
the
updated
vision,
zero
action
plan
includes.

action
plan
is
a
list
of
actions
and
projects
that
the
city
will
complete
Over
the
next
five
years
to
reduce
serious
injuries
and
fatalities
on
the
bolder
transportation
system.
The
plan
is
designed
to
help
the
city
achieve
its
vision,
zero
goal
of
achieving
zero
fatalities
and
serious
injuries
from
traffic
accidents
by
2030.

practices
on
how
the
city
determines

type
of
crosswalk
treatments
to
install,
plus
how
traffic
signals
are
operated
and
how
decisions
are
made
about
where
to
make
phase
changes

give
pedestrians
an
advantage.

action
lawsuit
against
two
oil
companies
to
recoup
Costs

climate
change
require
companies
to
pay
their
fair
share
of
cost
associated
with
climate
change
impacts.

United
States
Supreme
Court
denied
a
request
to
transfer
the
lawsuit
to
Federal
court
in

will
proceed
in
Colorado
State
court
in
2018,
three
colorado
communities,

county
sued,
two
big
oil
companies,

and

to
recover
the
costs
of
climate
change.

in
Colorado
have
demanded
that
companies
pay
their
fair
share
of
the
costs
associated
with
climate
change
impacts.
In
the
past,
similar
climate
lawsuits
have
been
filed
in
coastal
areas
such
as
California
and
New
York
City.
However,
this
lawsuit
is
the
first
filed
for
a
city
in
a
landlocked
state.

Has
been
working
through
the
winter
and
spring
seasons
to
hire
enough
seasonal
staff
for
maximum
summer
fun,
despite
nationwide
labor
shortage,
most
department
services
expected
to
be
provided
at
highest
level
since
2019
has
successfully
recruited
over
150
lifeguards
to
keep
people
safe
in
the
city
pools.
The
most
the
department
has
ever
contracted
for
the
summer.
Pools
include
north
bolder
recreation,
center
east,
bolder
community
center
carpenter,
pools
and
open
for
first
time
since
2020
the
Plus
pools,
and
if
you
can't
wait
for
summer
to
take
a
dip,
the
swimming
lanes
and
splash
pad
opened
this
week.

recreational
pool
and
additional
features
are
scheduled
to
open
this
Memorial
Day.
Some
services
that
were
halted
during
the
pandemic,
like
gymnastics
birthday
parties
and
golf
instruction,
are
now
being
offered
again.
Butter
continues
to
search
for
more
staff
like
camp
counselors
and
lifeguards.
