Since
saturday
afternoon,
crews
have
been
working
to
put
out
the
end
car
fire.
As
of
march
31
wilder
fire
rescue
announced
that
the
end
car
fire
was
100
percent
contained
the
fire's
incident
management
structure
has
officially
been
transitioned
to
the
city
of
boulder
as
a
type
4
incident.
The
city
of
boulder
appreciates
the
support
from
the
boulder
county
type
3
incident
management
team
on
this
fire.

The
cause
is
currently
under
investigation
and
investigators
believe
they
have
identified
the
origin
point
in
the
following
days.
Boulder
fire
rescue
will
continue
to
patrol
and
monitor
the
fires
area
committee
members
may
see
smoke
in
the
burn
scar
during
this
time,
which
is
a
normal
occurrence.
As
the
fire
burns
itself
out.
There
is
no
need
to
call
911
if
you
see
small
amounts
of
smoke
in
the
in-car
fire
burn
area.
If
you
see
anything
outside
of
the
norm,
please,
as
always
call
9-1-1
over
50
agencies
supported
and
helped
the
city
during
the
fire.

the
span
of
the
last
few
days,
the
city
would
like
to
express
its
sincere
gratitude
to
every
one
of
them.
It's
that
time
of
year
again
tax
season.
If
you're
looking
for
assistance
with
your
tax
preparation,
there
is
help.
The
boulder
public
library
is
partnering,
with
tax
help,
colorado,
emergency
family
assistance,
association
and
community
resource
center
to
provide
free,
high
quality
tax
preparation
to
households
that
earned
less
than
58
thousand
dollars
in
2021.
A
tax
preparation
help
is
being
held
every
tuesday
from
now
through
april,
16th
from
3
to
6,
30
and
saturdays
from
10.
30
a.m
to
3
p.m,
at
boulder's
main
library
to
make
an
appointment
for
tax
preparation.
Please

Appointments
are
not
required,
but
highly
recommended
and
remember
texts
are
due
monday
april
18th,

The
large
impact
coven

has
had
on
our
local
businesses
and
restaurants.
The
city
of
boulder
showed
its
commitment
early
on
to
make
the
reopening
process
as
simple
as
possible
for
the
local
business
community.

Since
then,
the
city's
community
vitality
department
has
spearheaded
multiple
programs
to
support
its
small
businesses.
These
include
the
retail
and
restaurant
sos
programs,
the
curbside
pickup
zone
program,
among
others,
all
of
which
are
part
of
the
boulder
business
recovery
efforts.
Last
week,
the
city
of
boulder
announced
that
it
is
expanding
its
business
recovery
program
through
august
2022.

city's
boulder
business
recovery
program
has
helped
over
100
boulder
businesses
reopen
and
operate
during
the
pandemic.
The
program
will
now
run
through
august
31st
2022,
which
will
help
local
businesses
to
continue
with
outdoor
expansion
options.
The
program
will
continue
to
include
the
hop
bus,
modified
route
city,
facilitated
street
closures
along
the
west
end
of
pearl
street
and
on
uni
hill
event
street
among
others.

The
city's
parks
and
recreation
department
is
looking
for
superheroes
to
join
their
team.
This
week
the
department
held
a
virtual
job
fair,
where
dozens
attended
from
being
a
lifeguard
to
a
camp
counselor
to
helping
in
the
city's
urban
parks,
boulder
parks
and
rec
is
looking
for
people
who
care
as
much
about
helping
the
community
as
the
city
does.
Over
300
positions
are
available,
which
include
the
flat
irons,
go
off
course.
Summer
camps,
youth
services
and
more
pay
ranges
from
13
to
thirty
four
dollars
an
hour
based
on
experience
and
position.

Signs
of
spring
are
sprouting
across
the
downtown
civic
area,
and
this
saturday,
the
first
boulder
county
farmers
market
of
the
season
will
take
place
on
13th
street
between
arapahoe
and
canyon.
Opening
day
at
the
farmers
market
will
include
tastings
from
handmade
products,
local
music
and
rows
of
smiles
instead
of
cartfill
dials.
The
farmer's
market
is
open
from
8
a.m
to
2,
and
the
season
runs
through
the
first
saturday
in
november
to
sign
up
for
the
weekly
newsletter
visit
boulderfarmers.org
and
for
daily
updates
visit
their
facebook
page.
