continues
to
work
with
public
health
and
community
partners
to
limit
the
spread
of
coronavirus
and
to
put
resources
in
place
to
help
the
community.
It's
been
one
week
since
governor
jared
Polis
instituted
a
statewide
stay
at
home
order,
in
effect
until
April
11th
2020,
which
can
be
extended
if
deemed
necessary.
The
order
requires
all
individuals
anywhere
in
the
States
to
stay
at
home,
except
for
certain
defined
essential
activities,
work
and
services.

There
are
over
3,300
confirmed
cases
of
Kobe
19
statewide
in
Boulder
County.
The
total
number
has
gone
over
100
confirmed
cases.
The
stay
at
home
order,
also
known
as
sheltering
place,
was
issued
in
an
effort
to
slow
the
spread
of
the
corona
virus.
While
the
state
stay
at
home
order
remains
in
effect,
until
April
11th,
Boulder
city
manager.
Jane
Brautigan
recently
announced
that
all
city,
buildings
and
facilities
will
remain
closed
until
April
30th
extending
the
original
April
19th
closure
date.

addition,
Boulder
Mayor
Sam
Lee
rejoined
Colorado
mayors
to
urge
governor
Poulos
to
extend
the
state
stay
at
home
order
until
April
30th.
The
decision
follows
two
state
order
to
keep
schools
closed.

city
of
Boulder
would
like
to
remind
its
committee
members
to
practice
physical
distancing.
If

must

out,

limit
your
exposure
to
others

trips
to
necessities

as
groceries
and
practice.

6,
Boulder
County,
the
city
of
Boulder,
Lafayette
and
Lyons
will
begin
audible,
testing
of
the
countywide
emergency
sirens.
The
test
will
be
conducted
at
10:00
a.m.
and
is
the
first
of
the
monthly
emergency
audible
siren
tests,
which
take
place
every
year
on
the
first
Monday
of
every
month,
from
April
through
August
siren
tests,
ensure
that
all
systems
and
procedures
are
working
properly
during
the
season
of
peak
flood
danger
and
is
in
no
way
related
to
coab
819.

tests
also
promote
public
awareness
of
the
warning
sirens
located
throughout
Boulder
County
sirens
are
meant
to
reach
people
that
are
outside
not
indoors.
Community
members
are
encouraged
to
review
their
own
emergency
preparedness
plans
and
discuss
what
they
would
do
in
the
event
of
a
flash
flood
or
other
emergency.

are
still

during
Colorado
stay

home
order.

disposal
would
like
to
provide
its
customers
with
the
following
information
to
ensure
the
health
and
safety
of
your
essential
services
do

entire
trash.
This
protects
workers
from
handling
infectious
trash
which
could
inadvertently
be
transmitted,

empty
and
rinse
all
liquids
from
recyclables
residual
liquids
can
carry.
Viruses
and
bacteria

trash

to
properly
dispose
of
tissue

conference
teachers
will
monitor
student's
ability
to
participate,
but
won't
be
penalized.

During
these
tough
times,
a
group
of
community
members
have
launched
feed
the
frontlines,
bolder
and
they're
looking
for
support
from
boulders
very
own.
This
partnership
with
Boulder
Community
Health,
is
seeking
donations
to
help
provide
meals
for
frontline
health
care
workers
around
Boulder
from
independent
local
restaurants.
A
Through
this
fund,
the
community
helps
donate
meals
from
local
restaurants
to
health
workers
on
the
frontlines
health
workers,
get
a
nourishing
meal,
while
local
restaurants
get
the
needed
business
to
keep
running
and
keep
staff
employed
over
three
hundred
thousand
dollars
has
been
raised
by
the
community
so
far,
the
funds
goal
is
to
raise
$400,000
which
will
keep
Boulder
community
health
workers
fed
for
at
least
60
days
to
be
part
of
the
cause.
