Description
This week on Inside Boulder News: City Council hears CAP tax survey results, Parks and Recreation offer an active summer of kids' camps; Pearl Street hosts the Open Arts Festival and upcoming 35th anniversary celebration; and cycling fans plan to cheer on local Olympic athletes.

According
to
the
results
about
fifty
eight
percent
of
voters
said
they
supported
the
continuation
of
the
tax
which
is
expected
to
be
placed
on
the
November
ballot.
But
several
council
members
remark
that
about
forty
five
percent
said
they
were
not
sure
how
effective
the
tax
had
been.
A
recent
report

that

funding

that

likely
to
result

it
will
be
important
to
communicate
these
successes
in
the
months
ahead.

A
Is
in
full
swing
and
Boulder
kids
are
enjoying
their
last
month
off
from
school,
at
boulders
parks
and
recreation
camps,
the
camps
range
from
day
sessions,
with
tons
of
activities
to
sports,
specific
programs
like
volleyball
and
tennis.
Here's
a
look
at
how
kids
are
taking
advantage
of
boulders
fun
activities
this
summer,
hi.
D
I've
been
a
counselor
for
five
years
now,
it's
just
a
great
opportunity,
a
great
job
to
play
with
kids
and
we
just
have
a
fun
time
every
day
and
it's
just
a
joy
to
go
to
work.
You
must
be
the
chicken
guard.
Oh,
oh!
No!
You
know
it's
their
summer
time.
It's
about
creating
fun,
safe
environment
for
them
just
to
enjoy
the
summer.

Is
my
seventh
year
running
the
kids
camp
program
and
it
really
is
amazing:
you
see
kids
start
at
age
five
and
go
till
they're
11
and
keep
coming
back
year
after
year
the
new
friendship
set.
They
might
only
see
this
group
of
friends
at
summer
camp,
you
know,
and-
and
they
come
back
year
after
year
and
still
Kendall
at
friendship
and
keep
going.
It's
not
all
learning
an
activity
and
how
to
kick
a
soccer
ball.
There's
there's
a
lot
more
depth
to
it.
