still
reeling
from
the
tragic
shooting
at
a
table
mesa
supermarket
on
march
22nd.
This
week,
victims
families
began
to
leave
their
loved
ones
to
rest.
The
services
included
a
traditional
fallen
officer
memorial
for
boulder
police
department
officer,
eric
talley,
who
was
killed
while
responding
to
the
violence,
family,
friends
and
members
of
the
public
joined
to
honor.
This

service
was
broadcast,
live
on
local
news
stations
and
online
for
those
who
wish
to
participate
remotely
more
than
8
000
people
tuned
in
the
public.
Memorial
service
included,
remarks
from
boulder
police
chief
maris,
harold,
governor
jared
polis,
older
police
sergeant,
adrian
drells,
who
was
talley's
direct
supervisor
and
friend,
and
a
college
roommate
during
the
service,
a
poem
written
by
officers,
tally's
children
was
shared.
The
poem
was
written
by
tali's
kids
in
december
of
2019
as
a
christmas
gift.
It's
titled
our
unsung
hero.

City
of
boulder
staff
gathered
this
week
at
the
east
boulder
community
park
to
honor
the
victims
of
the
march
22nd,
tragic
events,
dozens
gathered
monday
night
for
a
socially
distant
vigil
employees,
honored
officer
eric
talley
and
the
nine
other
victims
of
the
horrific
shooting
on
monday
march
29th.
The
outdoor
event
was
held
at
the
east
boulder
community
park,
while
some
joined
in
person
others
joined
through
a
virtual,
live
stream.
Attendees
were
faced
coverings,
practice
social
distancing
and
followed
all
public
health
guidelines
related
to
kova.

A
employees
came
together,
as
they
heard
remarks
from
boulder
mayor
sam
weaver,
fire
chief
mike
calderonzo
and
interim
city
manager,
chris
maschuk,
the
event
included
a
musical
performance.
The
city
recognizes
that
this
is
a
challenging
time
for
our
community.
We've
rounded
up
some
resources
for
community
members
in
need
of
mental
or
emotional
support.
Anyone
who
needs
mental
or
emotional
support
can
now
visit
the
boulder
strong
resource
center.
It
is
located
at
the
chase
bank
at
603,
south
broadway.
It
is
open
from
11am
to
7pm.

The
following
services
are
being
offered
at
the
center
mental
health
resources,
therapy,
dogs,
misogyn,
acupuncture
coordination
and
assistance
from
the
fbi,
including
the
ability
to
register
missing
personal
items
for
those
who
were
in
the
parking
lot
or
store
at
the
time
of
the
shooting.
If
you
are
unable
to
access
the
resource
center
or
don't
feel
comfortable
doing
so,
a
resource
line
is
also
available
from
10
am
to
5
pm.

counseling
is
also
offering
their
services
they

be

the

received
an
outpouring
of
support
from
across
the
nation
since
the
tragic
boulder
shooting
the
city
thanks
everyone
for
their
outpouring
of
kindness
during
this
difficult
time.
If
you

show

support

victims,
their
families
and
the
boulder
community,
there
are
some
organizations
currently
accepting
monetary
donations.

Donations
for
officer
tally
can
be
made
through
the
colorado
state,
lodge
fraternal
order
of
police
or
the
boulder
county
injured
and
fallen
officer
fund.
The
colorado
healing
fund
is
collecting
donations
to
support
the
needs
of
victims,
families
and
the
larger
community
affected
by
the
boulder
tragedy.
In
addition,
the
community
foundation
boulder
county
has
announced
a
boulder
county
crisis
fund
to
support
those
impacted
by
the
boulder
supermarket.

enough,
the
nation
and
our
state
continue
to
feel
the
effects
of
the
pandemic,
but
news
about
vaccine
is
looking
good
during
a
recent
press
conference,
governor
jared
polis,
shared
new
information
about
adjustments
to
the
state's
vaccine
distribution
plan.
Beginning
april,
2nd
every
adult
in
colorado
will
be
eligible
for
the
coven
19
vaccine.
All
coloradans,
16
and
older
will
be
eligible
for
the
pfizer
vaccine.
A
Eligibility
for
moderna
and
the
one
dose
johnson
and
johnson
will
be
for
coloradans,
18
and
older.
To
date,
more
than
100
000
community
members
have
received
at
least
one
coven
19
vaccine
dose
in
boulder
county
to
learn
more
about
the
state's
vaccine
distribution
plan.
