month
all
over

nation

month
dedicated
to
the
impact
lgbtq
plus
individuals
have
made
in
the
world
for
the
fifth
year
in
a
row.
Builders

Street,
mall
and
other
parts
of
the
city
will
be
home
to
a
display
of
rainbow
Flags
to
celebrate
the
lgbtq
plus
community
in
the
city.

celebrates
Pride
this
month
we
not
only
honor
our
lgbtq
plus
communities
and
advocacy
organizations
for
their
continued
work
to
achieve
equity
in
our
systems.
We
also
restate
our
commitment
to
this
ongoing
work
to
promote
and
protect
everyone
in
our
community,
regardless
of
gender
or
sexuality.

Boulder
City
Council
declared
June
2023
as
pride
month
in
the
city
during
the
June
1st
council
meeting
this
month.
Dozens
of
rainbow
Flags
will
be
displayed
at
Boulder's,
Pearl,
Street
Mall,
the
Penfield
Tate
second
municipal
building
and
Builders
main
library
in
celebration
of
pride
month.
Brightly
rainbow
painted
crosswalks
will
also
be
present
throughout
the
entire
month.
This
initiative
is
made
possible
thanks
throughout
Boulder
County
and
the
city
would
support
and
coordination
from
City
Council.
In
addition
to
the
flags
being
flowed
over
City
buildings,
the
city
will
light
up.

plus
Pride,

Seen
on
your
screen,
the
city
of
Boulders
housing
and
human
services
department
has
received
more
than
2.5
million
dollars
in
funding
for
projects
to
help
people
experiencing
homelessness
and
Mental
Health
crisis.
They
awarded
funds
include
2
million
dollars
to
build
a
Respite
Center
where
unhoused
community
members
can
recover
after
receiving
Medical
Care.
The
center
will
open
24
hours
a
day
and
provide
mental
health
care
and
help
finding
housing.

The
money
will
be
used
to
cover
staff
and
operating
costs.
555
thousand
dollars
to
strengthen
the
city's
alternative
response
programs
for
Mental
Health
crisis.
This
funding
will
support
the
crisis,
intervention
response
team
and
the
new
community
Assistance
response
and
engagement
team.
The
money
will
be
used
to
train
staff,
better
hiring
additional
case
manager
for
community-based
support,
improve
staff
well-being
to
reduce
turnover
and
make
improvements
to
the
working
spaces
of
CRT
and
Care
staff.

the
city's

Community
Partners,
such
as
Boulder
County,
Boulder,
shelter
for
the
homeless,
Mental
Health,
Partners
and
mother
house
have
also
received
funds
to
expand
their
support
for
unhoused,
committed
members
or
those
facing
mental
health
challenges
to
learn
more
about
the
program,
services
and
projects
of
the
housing
and
Human
Services
Department.

e-bikes
on
certain
open
space.

day
volunteer
projects
on
Saturday
June
3rd,
a
great
opportunity

give
back
to
the
beautiful
land
we
all
love.
There
are
two
projects
committee
members
can
participate
in.
The
first
is
the
high
plains.
Trail.
This
project
is
suitable
for
families
and
people
of
all
ages.
It
involves
easy
Trail
maintenance
and
is
located
near
restrooms,
and
the
trailhead
community
members
will
be
able
to
enjoy
a
gentle
hike
to
and
from
the
project.
The
second
project
is
the
first
and
second
Flatiron
Trail.

will
be
a
moderately
difficult
project
where
volunteers
will
help
construct,
Trailside
fencing
and
perform
Trail
restoration.
