This
week
on
inside
Boulder
news,
the
city
sets
its
top
priorities
for
the
upcoming
session
of
the
state
legislature.
The
Flagstaff
holiday
star
gets
an
energy
makeover,
Boulder
ask
for
your
input
on
ways
to
keep
bears
from
trash,
and
you
can
earn
rewards
for
using
less
while
shopping
this

season.

Welcome
to

to
wrap
up
2013
city
officials
are
looking
ahead
to
the
upcoming
legislative
session
each
year.
The
city
creates
a
legislative
agenda.
This
agenda
is
a
collection
of
the
positions.
The
City
Council
has
on
significant
legislation
that
could
be
introduced
at
the
state
or
federal
level.
By
establishing
a
clear
list
of
council
priorities,
staff
can
respond
quickly
to
represent
the
city's
interests,
so.
B
A
The
council
takes
positions
on
about
40
topics
each
year.
The
most
time
will
be
spent
on
the
top
three
or
four
in
order
to
make
the
greatest
impact
at
the
state
level.
The
top
priorities
this
year
are
related
to
the
possible
creation
of
a
local
electric
utility,
also
known
as
municipal
ization.
Recreational
marijuana,
telecommunications
and
transportation
at
the
federal
level
will
be
focusing
on
flood
recovery
funding.

Should
know
that
the

not
only
is
it
eighty-five
percent
more
efficient,
but
it's
also
powered
by
wind
energy.
So
it's
a
very
environmental,
environmentally
sensitive
display
of
the
holiday
season
and
we
think
that's
appropriate
for
our
community
and
obviously
in
line
with
the
values
that
we
as

share
the.

an

The
