Boulder
I'm,
Joslyn
Daniel
this
week,
Boulder
community
members
have
the
opportunity
to
meet
the
five
finalists
chosen
in
the
search
for
police
chief
to
replace
Greg
testa,
who
retired
in
September
on
Monday
night
at
the
main,
library's
cannon
theaters.
All
five
candidates
made
public
presentations,
answered
questions
and
talked
with
members
of
the
public
one
on
one.
In
addition
to
the
public
presentations,
each
finalist
participated
in
an
interview
process
involving
city
leadership,
Boulder
Police,
Officers,
Association,
the
boulder
Municipal
Employees
Association
and
community
leaders.
A
They
will
be
evaluated
on
policing
standards,
leadership,
experience
and
preparedness
to
serve
the
boulder
committee.
As
chief
of
police,
the
city
anticipates
naming
the
new
police
chief
in
early
March
community
members
in
Boulder
could
see

parts
of
the
city
beginning
next
month,

Just
south
of

This
prescribed

could
occur
between
Monday

and
Friday.

The
2020
census
is
right
around
the
corner.
We
spoke
to
city
of
Boulder
engagement,
specialist
Ryan
Hanson
about
what
to
expect
from
the
2020
census
every
10
years
the
United
States
holds
a
census.
The
census
is
a
count
of
every
human
being
that
is
living
in
the
United
States
and
is
instrumental
in
making
sure
that
there
are
political
state,
Senate
and
US
House
districts
that
accurately
represent
our
population.
It
also
plays
a
big
role
on
the
federal
funding
states
receive
when.
B
We
look
at
the
state
of
Colorado,
that's
about
$2,300
per
person
per
year.
Remember
that's
locked
in
for
ten
years!
So
that's
twenty
three
thousand
dollars
per
person
the
Colorado
receives
for
every
person
that
completes
the
census.
This
is
funding
transportation
projects,
education,
after-school
programs,
women,
children,
the.
