Welcome
to

in
October
of
2017,
the
city
on
with
the
county
of
Boulder
and
other
partners,
launched
a
new
adult
homeless
services
system.
The
goal
of
the
system
is
to
provide
services
and
solutions
to
exit
homelessness
in
one
year.
Report
for
the
system
was
recently
released,
join
us
as
we
take
a
look
at
its
current
progress.
Homelessness
is
a
top
priority
for
the
city
of
Boulder
in
2017
the
city
embarked
on
a
new
strategy
to
help
those
in
need
of
exiting
homelessness.

C
Difference
that
the
new
system
makes
first
of
all
is
we're
prioritizing
resources,
so
the
folk
people
who
have
more
significant
barriers
to
getting
off
the
streets
are
prioritized
first,
so
that's
one
thing:
the
system
does
in
a
very
different
way.
The
assessments
that
we
do
through
our
coordinated
entry
process
help
us
allocate
resources.
So
people
who
have
ties
to
our
community
people
who
are
more
vulnerable
people
with
disabilities,
are
put
at
the
top
of
the
list
for
resources.

The
one-year
period
sixty-six
new
rental
assistance
vouchers
became
available
to
make
housing
more
affordable
and
eighty-two
housing
units
are
currently
being
added
to
the
affordable
housing
stock.
The

Seen
on
screen,
hundreds
of
fifth
graders
from
Boulder
Valley
School
District,
took
part
at
this
year's
operation.
Water
festival
at
cu-boulder,
an
event
that
focuses
on
the
importance
of
this
valuable
natural
resource
for
over
20
years
now,
the
annual
operation
water
festival
at
cu-boulder
has
been
teaching
students
about
all
things
water.
D
Really
loved
reaching
out
to
our
the
fifth-grade
students,
just
because
they're
at
that
age,
where
they're
eager
to
learn
and
they're
eager
to
share,
which
is
the
important
thing
is
we
want
them
to
take
home?
What
they've
learned
today
share
it
with
their
families,
their
friends
and
just
say:
you
know
when
they
see
somebody
misusing
water,
they
can
say
hey.
You
know,
I
learned
something
at
this
water
festival.
The
days.
A
A
F
Trying
to
make
sure
everybody
feels
that
they
own
a
share
or
a
stake
in
open
space
in
mountain
parks,
and
so
we
really
wanted
to
bring
that
message
here
to
the
families
at
Boulder
housing
partners
to
say,
hey.
You
know
this
is
a
really
great
thing
right
out
your
back
door.
It
doesn't
cost
anything
to
visit.
It
belongs
to
you,
you
can
come
whenever
you
like,
Haley.
A
G
Kids
are
five
and
six
and
they're
super
small,
but
they
got
so
excited
about
the
technology
and
they
are
totally
capable
of
doing
it,
and
so,
even
at
this
young
age,
they're
drawing
their
little
codes
with
the
robots,
and
it's
just
really
cool
and
inspiring
that
little
kids
can
have
their
ideas
and
put
them
into
action
in
such
a
tangible
way.
It.
