A
Welcome
to
inside
boulder
news
your
source
for
all
things
boulder,
I'm
jocelyn
avendano
this
week
after
receiving
a
briefing
from
boulder
county
public
health
experts
and
hearing
public
comments.
The
bulldog
county
board
of
health
voted
to
rescind
its
mask
mandates.
Boulder
county's
universal
mask
requirement
ends
at
5
pm
on
friday
february.
18Th,
though,
masks
will
no
longer
be
required
by
bcph.
A
After
february,
18th
public
health
officials
recommend
all
individuals
over
the
age
of
2
to
wear
a
mask
while
around
others,
schools,
child
care,
centers,
private
businesses
and
employers
may
choose
to
implement
their
own
policy
requiring
masks
for
individuals
in
their
space.
The
colorado
department
of
public
health
and
environment
projects
that
immunity
to
the
omicron
variant
will
continue
to
rise.
Omicron
currently
accounts
for
98.4
percent
of
cases
in
colorado
and
cdphe.
A
Modeling
estimates
that
80
percent
of
colorado's
population
now
have
some
level
of
immunity
because
they
have
either
been
vaccinated,
infected
with
the
omicron
variant
or
both
some
steps.
You
can
take
to
keep
yourself
and
others
around
you.
Safe
include,
getting
vaccinated
or
boosted,
wash
your
hands
stay
home
if
you're,
sick
and
wear
a
mask
public
health
officials
strongly
recommend
wearing
a
kn-95
mask
or
equivalent
medical
grade
mask
while
indoors
and
in
crowded
outdoor
settings
and
speaking
about
masks.
A
This
week,
boulder's
main
library
distributed
5,
000,
kn,
95
and
surgical
grid
masks
for
free
to
the
community
by
the
city's
emergency
connectors
and
non-profits.
This
targeted
distribution
honors
the
city's
equity
goals
by
supporting
individuals
who
may
otherwise
find
it
challenging
to
access
these
critical
items.
Ensuring
equity
has
been
a
consistent
threat
in
the
city's
pandemic
response.
A
The
city's
parks
and
recreation
department
is
looking
for
superheroes
to
join
their
team.
This
week,
the
department
held
an
in-person
job
fair
at
the
north
boulder
recreation
center,
where
dozens
attended
from
being
a
lifeguard
to
a
camp
counselor
to
helping
in
the
city's
urban
parks,
boulder
parks
and
rec
is
looking
for
people
who
care
as
much
about
helping
the
community
as
the
city
does.
Over
300
positions
are
available,
which
include
the
flat
iron
golf
course,
summer
camps,
youth
services
and
more
pay
ranges
from
13
an
hour
to
34,
based
