hi,
I'm
natalie
wood
boulder
is
one
of
the
top
cities
in
america
in
which
to
successfully
start
a
business.
But
what
happens
when
those
businesses
continue
to
grow
in
our
mid-size
town
often
times
it
is
difficult
for
entrepreneurs
to
find
office
spaces
large
enough
to
fit
their
expanding
companies.
A
One
focus
of
the
program
is
the
nurturing
and
enhancement
of
the
entrepreneurial
spirit
in
our
community.
The
economic
vitality
team
works
with
other
city
divisions
to
deliver
services
and
provide
resources
to
bolder
businesses.

about
the
importance
of
working

promote
economic

B
Has
this
amazing
mix
sort
of
an
entrepreneurial
soup
of
startups
in
boulder
in
all
different
areas,
all
different
industries
and
a
couple
of
things
play
into
that
one?
We
have
a
great
quality
of
life.
People
actually
want
to
move
and
live
here
and
that
helps
attract
educated
workers.
We
also
have
the
university
of
colorado,
which
is
a
constant
stream
of
educated
workers
into
our
area.

work
program.
Hanson
says
the
community
can
support
economic
vitality
in
boulder
by
shopping
locally.
This
holiday
season,
along
with
supporting
local
businesses
you'll,
also
be
supporting
boulder
services
and
programs
for
every
one
hundred
dollars
spent
in
boulder
three
dollars
and
41
cents
goes
directly
to
supporting
area
programs.
A
A
I
stopped
by
the
station
to
find
out
why
it's
necessary
to
have
an
engine
like
this
in
a
town
that
sits
at
the
foot
of
the
mountains.
It
doesn't
look
like
your
typical
fire
engine
and
that's
because
this
wildland
fire
engine
has
lots
of
special
features
made
specifically
for
wildland
use.
It
gives
firefighters
a
better
tool
in
responding
to
mountain
fires.
This.
C
Particular
engine
only
carries
500
gallons
of
water,
whereas
the
structural
engines
carry
anywhere
from
750
to
1500
gallons,
so
it
makes
it
much
lighter
much
more
maneuverable.
It's
a
much
shorter
wheelbase.
It's
a
lot
shorter
than
a
standard
structural
engine.
Simply
so
it
can
maneuver
in
in
the
wildland
urban
interface
in
the
rougher
terrain
outside
getting
off
road.
It's
four
wheel
drive
as
opposed
to
all
the
structural
fire
trucks
that
are
only
two
wheel
drive
and
have
to
remain
on
the
pavement.
A
A
Time
is
crucial
in
responding
to
wildland
fires,
and
this
fire
engine
will
help
get
boulder
fire
crews
to
the
scene
more
quickly.
That
engine
which
is
now
stationed
in
boulder
was
used
to
help
fight
the
four
mile
canyon
fire.
Just
over
a
year
ago,
boulder
fire
crews
are
happy
to
have
an
engine
unique
to
our
area's
needs,
housed
right
in
boulder
from
one
hot
topic
to
a
rather
chilly
one.
Things
are
cooling
down
downtown
at
one
boulder
plaza
where
the
ice
rink
is
open
for
skaters.
A
E
Have
kids
running
up
from
down
the
block
and
they
come
in?
You
know,
wait
for
their
parents
because
they're
so
far
ahead
and
yeah.
It's
just
a
lot
of
smiles.
We
have
all
sorts
of
people
come
out
here
and
learn
to
skate
for
the
first
time.
You
know
we'll
have
adults
that
are,
you
know
stepping
on
the
ice
for
the
first
time
and
it's
just
a
great
fun
place,
and
you
know
everyone
that
comes
here
seems
to
really
enjoy
it.
We're
pretty
much
packed
from
open
till
close.
E
A
Ice
rink
on
13th
street
is
open
from
november
to
february
check
out
their
website
for
details
on
times
and
events.
If
you're
planning
on
going
to
the
ice
rink
this
saturday
night,
it
will
be
hard
to
miss
the
lights
of
december
parade.
The
annual
holiday
parade
is
making
its
way
to
the
pearl
street
mall
area
for
another
year
of
lighting
up
downtown.
A
The
parade
is
made
up
of
area
businesses,
non-profits
school
groups
and
much
more.
It
includes
both
the
fairview
and
boulder
high
marching
bands,
the
swing
dancing,
elves
fire
trucks
and
the
boulder
cruiser
club
all
decked
out
in
lights.
The
nighttime
parade
begins
at
6
pm
at
15th
and
walnut
streets,
and
it
moves
west
towards
11th
street.
The
parade
is
a
great
family
and
community
event
to
kick
off
the
holiday
season.
