boulder
news
latest
updates,
I'm
jocelyn
avendano,
beginning
on
september
24th,
the
city
and
its
partners
will
offer
weekly
community
briefings
to
provide,
updates
and
answer
any
questions
the
public
may
have
regarding
the
pandemic.
These
weekly
meetings
come
in
response
to
the
recent
surge
in
cov19
cases
in
boulder
county.
The
first
meeting
currently
scheduled
for
thursday
september
24th,
will
be
online.
Community
members
will
need
to
register
in
advance
in
order
to
gain
access.
A
City
officials
will
be
joined
by
a
boulder
county,
public
health
and
a
cu
boulder
representative
during
the
first
briefing.
This
one
hour
session
will
include
current
updates,
as
well
as
an
opportunity
for
community
members
to
ask
questions.
The
sessions
will
be
recorded
and
made
available
for
later
viewing
don't
miss
the
city's
first
session.
This
thursday
september
24th
from
10
to
11
am
please
visit
the

on

gain
access
to
the
session
and
get
updates
for
all
subsequent
briefings.

city
of
boulder
will
hold
weekly
briefings
every
thursday
morning
until
november
20th,
due
to
the
increase
in
kova
19
cases
among
the
city's
younger
population.
The
university
of
colorado
boulder
recently
announced
that
beginning
wednesday
september
23rd,
it
will
operate
under
a
temporary
remote
only
instruction
for
a
minimum
of
two
weeks.
All
undergraduate
graduate
in-law
classes
will
be
taught
remotely
labs,
studio
and
performance
classes
are
remote
unless
approved
by
department,
chairs
and
college
and
school
deans
staff
will
continue
to
work
on
campus
as
currently
assigned
on-campus.

According
to
local
health
officials,
the
majority
of
the
county's
new
cases
is
attributed
to
boulder
residents
between
the
ages
of
18
to
29,
many
of
whom
attend
cu
boulder
last
week
in
a
coordinated
effort,
health
officials,
cu
boulder
and
the
city
of
boulder
issued
a
strong
recommendation
to
every
cu,
boulder
student
living
in
boulder
to
quarantine
for
14
days.
Two
new
free
covet
19
testing
sites
are
available
for
all
boulder
county
residents.
Residents
do
not
have
to
have
symptoms
to
be
tested.

The
first
site
is
located
in
the
city's
hill
neighborhood
at
the
pleasant
street
parking
lot
and
is
a
walk-up
testing
site.
The
second
site
is
located
in
east
boulder
at
the
gerald
stasio
football
fields
and
is
a
drive-up
testing
site.
Since
testing
began
at
these
boulder
locations,
over
1500
individuals
have
been
tested
for
covet
19.
A
hours,
for
both
sites
are
from
9
a.m,
to
3
p.m.
Seven
days
a
week
the
walk-up
testing
site
on
the
hill
will
be
available
through
september
30th,
and
the
drive-through
site
at
the
football
fields
will
be
available
through
october
2nd,
but
can
be
extended
depending
on
case
positivity
rates.
Anyone
attending
a
testing
site
must
have
a
form
of
identification
and
a
mask
results
are
usually
made
available
within
24
to
48
hours,
as
testing
increases
in
the
area.
