Boulder
County's
primary
election
is
just
weeks
away,
which
means
voters
will
soon
be
getting
their
ballots
in
the
mail.
And
now,
thanks
to
a
voter,
approved
proposition,
unaffiliated
voters
or
independent
voters
will
be
able
to
take
part
in
the
Colorado
primary
election.
But
you
will
need
to
pay
close
attention
to
the
new
process
to
help
ensure
your
ballot
is
counted.

with

City
of
Boulder
believes
that
neighborhood
should
be
safe
and
pleasant
places
to
live,
work
and
attend
school.
That's
why
I
designed
the
neighborhood
permit
parking
program
to
balance
the
needs
of
those
who
work
on
Boulder
streets,
including
residents,
visitors
and
commuters,
but
the
program
is
currently
in
the
process
of
updating.
We
spoke
to
Melissa
Yates,
with
boulders
community
vitality,
to
learn
more
the
neighborhood
parking
permit
program
or
the
NPP
was
started
in
1994.

Example
is
having
a
more
efficient
process
in
permit
renewal
and
permit
application
right
now,
we're
really
requiring
residents
to
come
in
with
a
lot
of
paper
to
prove
their
resident,
but
we're
hoping
to
automate
that
and
we've
launched
a
project
where
we're
going
to
have
everything
computerized.
This.

Wednesday
May
16th,
the
city
will
kick
off
the
area
planning
process
for
two
city
projects,
the
East
bookend
and
the
Alpine
possum
sites.
Here's
a
sneak
peek
at
what
to
expect
at
the
kickoff
event.
At
the
kickoff
event,
community
members
can
expect
to
learn
more
about
the
area
plan
process.
One
of
the
projects,
the
East
bookend
area,
is
an
area
between
Arapaho
Avenue,
Canyon,
Boulevard,
Broadway
and
14th
and
15th
streets.
A
This
project
comes
after
the
completion
of
phase
one
of
Park
up
the
core
enhancements,
which
were
completed
last
November,
the
second
project
that
the
event
will
be
the
Alpine
balsam
site,
which
was
purchased
by
the
city
in
2015.
The
area
plan
on
this
project
will
be
based
on
the
vision
plan
that
was
approved
by
City
Council
in
2017.
