and
for
the
fourth
year
in

Boulder
celebrating
these
vital
insects
over
the
next
few
weeks,
lots
of
events
are
planned
in
honor
of
these
beautiful
insects.
During
the
September
4th
council
meeting
mayor
Susan
Jones
alongside
community
members
declared
september
pollinator
Appreciation
Month.
This
marks
the
fourth
year
in
a
row
in
which
Boulder
celebrates
these
insects
pollinate.

upcoming
event
is
on
September
9th.
It
is
a
hive
tour,
so
it's
not
only
just
just
honeybees.
It's
a
tour
of
our
native
bee
house
of
the
Boulder
Public
Library.
It's
going
to
be
the
Museum
of
Natural
History
and
some
native
bee
houses.

The
neighborhood
speed
management
program,
formerly
known
as
the
neighborhood
traffic
mitigation
plan,
will
keep
neighborhoods
safer
by
installing
speed,
humps
and
traffic
circles
to
slow
traffic.
The
purpose
of
the
program
is
to
reduce
speeding
on
residential
streets
and
to
improve
the
quality
of
life
in
boulders
neighborhoods
construction
for
these
speed
humps
began
earlier
this
month.

our
highest
ranked
project
of
the
12
that
we
reviewed,
so
it
had
a
32
mile,
an
hour,
85th
percentile
speed,
which
basically
means
that
15
percent
of
cars
that
we
studied
on
the
street
we're
driving
over
32
miles
an
hour.
So
it's
pretty
fast
for
a
neighborhood
street
with
a
25
mile,
an
hour,
speed
limit
the.

Neighborhood
speed
management
program
is
resident
driven
late.
Last
year
the
city
began
accepting
applications
to
be
considered
for
engineering
treatments
such
as
speed,
humps
city
staff,
looked
at
things
such
as
the
number
of
crashes
on
the
streets
and
the
surrounding
neighborhood
facilities
such
as
school
and
parks.

city
of
Boulder
has
an
emergency
alert
system
where,
in
the
event
of
a
major
disaster
or
a
missing
person,
the
city
can
send
out
alerts
based
on
the
location
of
affected
neighborhoods.

of
possibly
an
evacuation
for
a
wildfire,

missing
person,

that
is
determined
to
be
a
public
safety

in

and
English,

the

notices.

Public
Library
will
host
the
fourth
annual
Jaipur
Literature
Festival.
The
festival
combines
literature,
author
talks
panel
discussions,
music
and
culture
to
showcase
South,
Asia's,
unique
literary
heritage,
boulders
home
to
dozens
of
festivals
each
year,
but
few
be
participants
together
from
around
the
world
like
the
Z
Jaipur,
Literature
Festival.

festival

a
variety
of
hot
topics
while
having
a
dialogue
with
the
community.

the
