Hi
I'm
boulder
city
council,
member
lisa
morzel.
Today,
I'm
excited
to
show
off
north
boulder,
the
part
of
town
I
call
home
and
most
specifically,
this
neighborhood
known
as
nobo
fifteen
years
ago.
This
area
was
a
hodgepodge
of
low
density,
housing,
sprawling
commercial
interests
and
vacant
land
locally
known
as
dog
patch.
We
developed
the
north
boulder
plan
with
tons
of
public
input
and
a
common
vision
to
create
a
sustainable
community.
A
C
I
think
a
benefit
of
living
in
the
neighborhood
too.
We
get
to
interact
with
so
many
other
professionals,
and
you
know
I
don't
usually
leave
the
neighborhood
on
a
daily
basis.
So
I
walk
a
block
to
work
and
I
come
up.
I
have
lunch
options.
I
have
a
gym.
I've
got
a
lot
of
close
friends
in
the
neighborhood.

E
I'm
alice
cohen,
I
am
a
cpa
financial
planner
in
boulder,
and
I
have
had
my
office
here
in
nobo
in
north
boulder
in
the
holiday
neighborhood
for
six
years,
and
I
love
it.
It's
a
wonderful
neighborhood.
We've
got
great
little
places
to
eat
on
the
corner
and
the
neighborhood's
really
friendly
and
I've
gotten
lots
of
business
from
people
just
walking
by
and.

E
G
I
don't
actually
live
in
the
neighborhood,
I
just
work
in
the
neighborhood,
and
so
I
see
this
sort
of
transition
that
happens
at
the
end
of
the
workday.
That,
I
think,
is
part
of
the
mixed-use
function
of
the
neighborhood,
and
that's
the
people
who
live
here
that
don't
work
here
coming
back
home
and
all
of
the
parking
along
the
street.
Turning
over
the
people
from
work
or
leaving
those
spaces
and
the
spaces
are
almost
always
full
because
the
minute
they
leave
is
right
at
the
time
that
the
residents
are
coming
home
and
so.

We're
here
at
amante
coffee,
which
is
really
the
anchor
business
for
north
boulder
village.
The
way
we
created
this
was
to
think
about
the
way
in
which
we
could
integrate
transportation
and
land
use,
because
this
is
at
the
perimeter
of
our
town.
But
we
wanted
to
increase
the
density
and
have
it
be
also
a
transportation
hub.
So
at
this
particular
business.
This
is
the
center
really
of
cycling
in
our
town.
K
My
name
is
frank:
overton,
I'm
the
owner
and
the
head
coach
at
the
fast
cat,
coaching
performance,
cycling
center
up
here
in
north
boulder
in
the
uptown
broadway
neighborhood.
We
have
been
here
since
june
of
2009.
We
chose
this
location
because
of
its
proximity
to
the
road
rods
in
north
boulder.
All
the
cyclists
ride
right
by
our
windows
really
become
a
mecca
for
the
road
cycling
community,
because
it's
just
a
centralized
location
to
meet
for
road
rides
and
congregate
before
you
head
northeast
of
town
as.
