A
B
Can
test-drive
the
Tesla's,
the
BMW's,
the
volts,
the
leaves
kotas
so
a
lot
more
test
drives
and
something
really
unique
and
I
have
one
here
is
an
electric
assist
bikes
which
a
really
advantageous?
If
you're
talking
about
electric
transportation,
this
one
in
particular
cost
about
a
penny
a
mile
to
operate.
B
So
quite
the
savings
in
your
in
your
commuting
and
I
can
I
tell
you
what
it
it
can
get
up
to
like
27
miles
an
hour
without
trying
I
think
when
you,
when
you
try
one
of
these
out,
you
can't
help
but
have
a
big
smile
on
your
face.
So
this
year
we
actually
had
to
turn
back
a
number
of
people
from
showing
their
vehicles.
A
Addition
to
test
drives
and
wisdom
shared
from
local
electric
vehicle
owners.
The
event
also
highlighted
solar
benefits,
Colorado
a
groundbreaking
program
to
help
residents
and
nonprofits
access
financial
assistance
and
go
solar,
clean
energy
advocates
say
the
combination
of
electric
vehicles
and
solar
is
particularly
powerful.
It's.
C
An
exciting
initiative
that
wasn't
launched
by
both
the
city
of
boulder
in
boulder
county
to
create
a
group
purchase
discount
program
for
both
solar,
pv
and
also
electric
cars,
and
this
is
one
of
the
first
times
that
actually
anybody's
tried
the
pv
and
the
electric
car
piece
together.
It
really
grows
out
of
the
experience
that
we've
been
having
around
our
community.
C
You
know
we're
one
of
the
communities
in
the
country
with
one
of
the
highest
rates
of
solar
PV
adoption
of
any,
but
we
want
to
take
that
to
the
next
level
by
getting
making
an
offering
across
the
entire
sort
of
Front
Range,
but
especially
in
the
boulder
in
Boulder
County
area.
We're
able
to
create
discounts
of
up
to
thirty
percent
on
your
PV
installations
and
discounts
of
something
like
twelve
thousand
dollars
on
buying
an
electric
car.
So
it's
very
significant
financial
savings
for
people
by
being
able
to
come
together
and
make
this
group
purchase
decision.
C
C
Always
felt
in
Boulder
that
we
wanted
to
make
solar
available
to
everybody,
so
we've
had
since
2008
a
solar
grants
program,
that's
focused
on
providing
assistance
to
both
nonprofits
and
families,
unaffordable,
housing
budgets
to
get
solar
and
we've
given
away
about
four
hundred
thousand
dollars
in
that
period
of
time.
So
we
have
another
round
about
a
hundred
thousand
dollars
that
we're
making
available
so
we're
inviting
people
to
make
applications.
And
again
you
can
be
a
householder
or
an
organization,
that's
providing
solar
for
folks
who
normally
wouldn't
be
able
to
afford
it.
A.
A
Few
websites
can
help
you
navigate
the
solar
benefits
offered
in
folder
for
more
information
about
the
city's
solar
grant
program
and
solar
benefits.
Colorado
visit,
boulder,
colorado,
gov,
/,
solar
energy,
smart,
yes,
calm
is
also
an
excellent
resource
for
finding
qualified
contractors
and
rebates
with
in
Boulder
County.
After
17
months,
builders
bridge
house
opened
it's
ready
to
work
house
an
employment
center.
A
D
Building
is
unique:
we
not
only
offer
up
to
two
years
of
housing.
We
offer
an
opportunity
to
get
back
to
work
in
one
of
our
social
enterprises.
Ready
to
work
has
both
outdoor
landscaping,
crew,
that
contracts
with
the
city
of
Boulder,
open
space,
Parks
and
Rec,
and
parking
services,
as
well
as
other
property
managers
in
the
city,
as
well
as
a
commercial
kitchen.
D
So
we're
providing
me
paid
transitional
employment
in
a
social
enterprise
for
everyone
living
in
this
building,
while
we're
also
offering
housing
and
support
I
am
just
thrilled
to
be
a
part
of
this
project.
We,
you
know,
really
have
targeted
a
population
in
Boulder
that
has
needed
opportunities
and
is
capable
and
willing
to
get
back
into
the
workforce,
get
back
into
the
mainstream
and
we're
providing
that
stepping
stone.
It
wouldn't
have
been
possible
without
the
supporters
that
have
helped
us
get
this
far,
and
it's
really
just
the
beginning.

in

The
property
is
staffed,
24

by
trained

There
are
several
ways
you
can
help
with
the
success
of
the

you

A
E
Partnering
with
the
city
and
county
once
more
to
support
some
fun
events
and
that's
really
kind
of
a
long
and
short
of
it.
We
want
people
to
come
down,
have
a
good
time
be
safe
and
you
know
give
a
good
send-off
to
the
dogs.
They've
been
waiting
all
summer
to
come
down
to
the
pool
and-
and
we
thought
it
was
fun.
F
Dog
days
yeah
every
year
we
shut
down
the
pool
to
humans
and
for
two
weeks
we
let
our
four-legged
friends
swim,
and
then
we
have
a
big
celebration
at
the
end
with
a
big
Expo.
So
my
favorite
part,
when
I'm
out
here,
is
definitely
seeing
the
people
with
their
dogs.
I
mean
it
seems
like
it's
for
the
dogs,
but
really
it's
for
the
people
out
here
out
here,
building
community
and
they
got
a
big
smile
on
their
face.
And
you
know
it's
just
a
big
celebration
of
getting
together
in
the
community
dog.
A
Days
has
been
going
on
for
almost
a
decade
and
last
year
alone,
over
2,000
community
members
and
their
dogs
participated
daily
entries,
five
dollars
per
dog
with
special
days
and
hours
reserved
for
small
dogs
for
the
full
schedule
and
pass
options

September
is
not
only
pollinate
our
appreciation
month
in
the
city
of
Boulder.
For
many
years
it
has
also
been
national
honey
month.
September
is
typically
the
month
when
beekeepers
harvest
their
honey.
To
celebrate
both
of
these
focus
areas,
the
community
is
getting
creative.
We.
G
Have
people
that
are
doing
using
honey
in
food?
We
have
people
who
are
using
honey
in
cocktails
and
we
have
people
who
are
using
honey
and
other
beverages,
so
shine
is
using
honey
and
some
of
their
potions.
The
cup
is
using
honey
as
a
honey.
A
lot
a
cafe
ion
is
doing
a
honey
tapas,
so
all
sorts
of
people
doing
all
sorts
of
creative
things.
Well,.
H
I
definitely
wanted
to
do
something
like
very
like
floral
and
flowery,
because
these
love
flowers
and
and
also
something
you
know
the
end
of
summer-
very
refreshing
and
good
for
your
body.
So
we
did
chamomile
tea,
it's
very
like
sunny
and
bright
and
then
with
our
like
ginger
liqueur,
to
give
it
a
little
bit
of
a
like
spicy
kick
to
it
email
and
fresh
lemon
juice,
all
the
other
fresh
ingredients,
we've
put
a
little
bit
of
honey
in
the
tea
itself,
and
then
we
put
some
raw
honey
in
the
cocktail.

The
conference
is,
is
a
huge
conference
is
by
far
the
biggest
bee
education
event.
That's
ever
come
to
the
area,
and
it
is
the
most
biggest
bee
event
that
will
ever
come
to
the
area.
It
is
as
the
whole
western
region
of
the
United,
States
and
Canada
comes
in
for
this
event
and
we've
titled
the
conference
healthy,
be
be
healthy
for.

we've
been
working
to
build
this
trail
on
this
335
acre
piece
of
property
out
here
north
of
Boulder
and
as
you
can
see,
it's
just
an
incredible
piece
of
land,
diverse
landscapes,
grassland
communities,
foothill
forested
foothills.
So
we're
really
excited
to
open
this
to
the
public.
